I'll happily come back to being a fan, eat humble pie if Lin is a disaster in Houston.

But letting him walk for nothing, because of imagined insults.

From this organization? That had Larry Brown run out of town because he wanted to not be part of a gestapo media environment- that he had road side interviews?

Hope the Nets do well.

With you franco....although I'm waiting till it's official.

I'm done with the Knicks until Dolan is no longer the owner.

I don't blame you.

James Dolan is the "poison pill", not the Jeremy Lin contract.

Some fans will always be in denial though.

You were better when you made lame jokes about Cap'n Zeke.

I can't believe there are people who are rejoicing at this move or don't care or blame Lin. I feel sorry for you. Battered wife syndrome to the max.

We are unconditional fans. I don't agree with the move, but i can justify it. It was a great story, but Grunfield as done a great job and i trust his judgment. He is trying to build a team based on toughness and chemistry, and determined the potential of Lin will not override that.

Dont think anyone is rejoicing; its sports dude. We've seen Bernard King fight back from a serious knee injury and was shown the door just as he was ready to play. Rod Stickland was traded, Mark Jackson, Ewing the all time leading scorer in Knick history was shown the door for his efforts, Frazier was traded....Tyring to figure out why Lin is the final straw?

What has Grunwald done exactly? Get 40 year old players and a fat PG? Isn't the goal to win a championship? Isn't talent like Lin a way to get to that goal?

I agree with this. There were definitely some issues (both in the locker room and with fans)that had/have to be worked out if Lin were/is to come back.

If we can endure the loss of Ewing, sprewell, Oakley, Starks,Camby- you know, players who actually accomplished something in new York and actually played in the playoffs, then we'll survive the loss of Lin, who helped us win 10 games in the regular season. I think it's a mistake to let him go and I really enjoyed linsanity and think he'll get better, but we've endured worse. People are weirdly hysterical when it comes to Lin.

As long as Lebron, Wade, Bosh and now Allen are the gatekeepers to the championship ring, signing Lin is the not the key to getting past them by any stretch.

This has more to do with mismanagement by the organization than Lin. They paid awful players outrageous salaries but let good young players go for nothing in return. This current Knicks team, without Lin, isn't that good and has accomplished absolutely nothing. What if - just hypothetically speaking - Lin becomes a perennial All-Star while we wallow in Eastern Conference mediocrity for the next 3 years? Then what? Both of these scenarios are entirely possible btw.
