A scholarly opinion.

"This Knicks Fan of forty years thinks it is doubtful that Jeremy is coming back even though I wish that were the case $30 million or more in the last year would have to be justified by how much more they could earn by having him .

However , while the Writer ignores the downsides of Linsanity there were a number of problems relating to the Media's Orchestration of Linsanity for Knicks Fans and those of other NBA Teams among them were :

-The Media went overboard and started ignoring every other Player in the League which caused a backlash among Players and teams which resulted in Lin having a bulls eye on his head and teams bent on stopping , or showing him up . This hurt his and the teams performance .

-Linsanity for the first time drew Fans to the Knicks who were not Fans of the team , but were supporting Jeremy solely because of his ethnicity . These Fans sometimes clashed with long time Knicks Fans verbally on the Internet a few making accusations of racism if anyone expressed doubts about Lin's ability.

-Sports Reporting which has declined in quality in a number of ways was at it's biased and unbalanced worse as it same all things through the blindness of Linsanity covering up the truth and facts under a huge mound of hysteria."

- vb, New York City (NY Times reader)

With that said, Can Felton and Lin co-exist in the backcourt?

Could Clyde and Earl?

While that stuff may be true. Knicks should be "all in" for a championship right now. Haven't had one in 40yrs. Lin brings us closer to that so he should be matched. Kidd running the point and Lin able to focus on scoring would be tough to stop for long stretches. But most important if Lin turns out to be the real deal and a future superstar in this league it will be hard to recover from that. If Lin turns out to be a bust its only 3yrs and he has a lot of talent around him to cover that pain for those yrs.

Could Francis and Marbury? LOL

I think if Dantoni was the coach probably no "?" the Knicks match. I dont think Woodson wants to run his team through Lin.He wants to run it through the Melo.Maybe because he wants to remain the coach and the best way to do that is to appease Melo. I just dont see how there is enough time in the shot clock for Melo and Lin. if u limit Lin then U are taking away the part of his game thats makes him a good player and makes him not worthless but really marginilizes him. If U let Lin dominate the ball then u marginilize Melo who will get disinterested and his whole game suffers. When Melo is active on offense it feeds into his defense. How do U balance that to keep both styles and players at peak performance? I dont have that answer and Im not sure there is 1. Phil Jackson didnt seem to think there was.I dont think the style that Woodson and Grunwald appear to be building can work with Lin and Melo on the court

If the Knicks are changing to a slow it down pace based on solid defense and limiting TO's Lin might not be the best guy to win games with. Reducing Lin to a 1 pass PG that hits Amare or Melo in the post and plays defense isnt what he is at all.

Maybe we will have 2 different styles of play to match our players (Lin) abilities. Woodson had Lin play very well for him last year.

Bring Me The Head Of Pablo Prigioni

Listen, we love Carmelo. We really do. But if he wants Jeremy Lin back, he'll be back. We know how this works now, right? If there has been one constant since Carmelo joined the Knicks, it's that Carmelo always gets his way. Why should this be any different, one way or the other?

It's gonna be a long day, people.
