I guess MSG will get a lot of conditional offers from various companies today staring with "If Lin will be retained..."
Comparing to this the season tickets are not even worth mentioning...

You can only try to bring change. Nothing is guaranteed. If you don't care then continue not to. I do care and I've done my part.

Last I check MSG had a waiting list for season tickets.

Pretty foolish to cancel at this point.

Emailed my season ticket rep and implored the franchise to re-consider on Lin.....

Also said I will most likely not renew after next season if Lin is let go (we already had to start paying for upcoming season unfortunately so it's too late to cancel there).

I know my email probably will have no impact whatsoever...but figured I have nothing to lose since losing Lin would be last straw for me regardless.

That was one number listed. I said if you have a better number to list it. I agree, I wouldn't cancel tickets I already bought. I'd probably sell most of them.
But, I would call MSG and cancel for the following year and state the reason.

It doesn't matter if it works or not. The point is to express yourself. Corporations often listen, other times they don't and then yet other times they are FORCED TO LISTEN. It's whatever we make it.

FYI..I heard back from my season ticket executive immediately and he emphasized that they will be sitting down with their boss at the end of the day to express the reaction of the ticket holders and that it is their job to make sure our voices are heard (that they will also pass our feelings along).

I highly recommend that all season ticket holders (and partial ticket holders) email as well so that we can show how up in numbers..Note, I said in the email I was upset about the situation but I didn't attack anyone personally....if you want a kind email in return like I got, you need to be civilized. If a ton of us show our displeasure....while remaining calm....that is our best shot at having any impact.

No problem man! Glad to help! I think it helped that I took some time to write that I was a diehard fan and that I really didn't want to do this....instead of me just coming in guns firing and saying "no, I'm not renewing and I hate this f*****n franchise now"

If Dolan is all about loyalty...if the season ticketholders can try to appeal to that just a little bit (by how loyal we've been to the franchise)....then maybe we have a small chance (better than no chance for sure).

I got a reply!

Thanks for the email.

Go Knicks!

Not what I was hoping for but at least a person got it (Jonathan) and replied. If they get a lot of these they will start to see.

Kudos man it certainly wont hurt to get as many season ticket holders to express their opinions in a civil manner. Especially it it really gets back to.the boss

Where did I say I'm a fan of him as an individual?

Did you watch what he did last year? Did you see how he helped to turn the team around? Did you see the PER rating he put up?
This is why I want him back. I could care less if he was Italian American and from Brooklyn (like me ;-) - I want the best pg we can get and he is CLEARLY an upgrade over anyone on the roster - the stats and eye test proves that. So take your manipulative language elsewhere or come here with statistics etc, but then you'll just be proving me point.
