It's corny....they have Brook Lopez that's already a 18pt 7 rebound, 1.5 blocks a game just walking in the gym....How much better is Dwight Howard really? The cost is too steep and too much trouble...

Go into next season with Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Brook Lopez, Deron and Joe Johnson as the starters with their decent bench and just compete.....that team is still very very good. They don't need Dwight Howard. Let that guy cry alone in Orlando.

Because Lopez averages nearly as many rebounds as Jeremy Lin. Brooke needs to step it up and play like a center.

Brook Lopez is awful defensively and the Magic don't want him, either. The Nets just don't have the chips to get Howard no matter how much he wants to go there.

the cost is too steep? lol. they don't have the chips to get the deal done or it'd be done already. i think it's still most likely he winds up with the nets, even though other teams have better offers on the table. not sure who dwight's agents are, but you don't want to piss off agents. they have other clients. that said, i think orlando should move dwight to the place that gives them the best package.

I like this idea. Time to tell Orlando that their philandering has done them in. Their GM is way too greedy and he deserves all the backlash he is going to get for missing this trade with the nets.

I posted this in another thread.

Not sure i want Howard anymore. If Orlando is shunning the nets this badly let them go and see what they can get from other teams. I think the nets should tell them to get lost and sign lopez and humphries. Lopez was out last season because of injury but his previous 2 seasons he played every game and average 20ppg and 7.5 rebounds. He also has a more polished offensive game then Howard. Dwight relies on his athleticism and is coming off of back surgery. I would love to have him but Orlando is screwing around way to much. The nets actually have a nice package here.

Oh and humphries is a double double machine. The funny thing about all this is the Nets total package may actually be >> than howard.

humphries is one of the most overrated players in the sport. stats on a bad team guy personified.

edit: or, well, overrated by nets fans. as is pretty obvious, the free agent humphries has few suitors. same with brook lopez. those guys don't defend at all. if that's the best the orlando gm can get for dwight howard he should be fired.
