Every year there are 2-3 players who show it who were not drafted. You cant /dont worry about position--there are 3-4 open bench spots and there is no doubt that atleast 2-3 of them will be rookie 400k $ type contracts We opted not to move in on a 2nd round pick---but that doesnt mean we cant select two players who really show it in SL to our roster doesnt mean it has to be from our team. If anyone remembers back--I picked out Anthony Morrow in the SL--said we should sign him.... He played very well and eventually did sign with Golden State. Pullen from what I have seen has been one of the best guards there--small but so was Joe Dumars. You want guys who can play and can compete in practice adn ultimately execute if needed from the bench in case of injury. Im not saying sign Pullen--but so far he looks good and to keep an eye on him.
agree, with Briggs. I like the idea of having 2-3 players, to replace *yoots*, and possibly repackaged them next year again.
Sometimes PRO's forget how lucky to be in the situation they are in to have such a great job and how hard they have to continue to work.
Players like this, remind them to appreciate it, feeds off the energy in staying competitive, and this kid has HEART and love for the game.
Right now, it doesn't look like we can save many roster spots for players to develop which I think is a bad mistake, because we have to leave some room for error *amnesty players that has interest in us or Buyouts*
With our lack of roster spots though, I am not sure we can even that many, maybe 1 or 2?
After signing Pablo, that is 3 PGs on our roster, with 4 spots left, JJ is still not signed. I think we need
Thing is, we have one defensive player in WHITE, we need many more to defend Deron/JJ/Wallace, OKC, and The Heat
Most of our roster is quite old, I think we need to balance it out now, with some young guns, prefer 28 and younger....
1 PF/C
1 Forward that is versatile
1 2G/F
1 PG/SG or basically anything we want to have more options with. *with Kidd and Pablo, we should have an apprentice they can help develop*
So I am not sure, how the Knick's are going to use their roster spots, in the end they will be short something,
a PF/C that can post up or we relying on Tyson and Amare add the skills after a couple sessions with The Dream
multiple lock down DEFENDERS with many fouls, to guard Lebron when he switches form PF, SF, SG, PG
