Well not naturally but he's a Scoring PG and I think he's 6-3 ish no? He's a heck of an athlete with a smoothe handle and a pretty good jumper. I think he could play SG.

THis goes towards the whole SG situation. We need a stop gap from the season opener until Shump gets back healthy (All Star Break?). But when we have Kidd, Lin, JR, and Shump, does Bayless want to be our 5th guard?

I was thinking...Bayless wasn't extended his qualifying offer....why I dunno because he has been a super talent for them.

What's the difference between Bayless and Eric Gordon? Probably 10-12 million dollars. Bayless has proved he could produce plenty of times throughout his career. He was Portlands second wheel to Brandon Roy in the playoffs one year only for him to end up on Toronto some how....in Toronto he was brilliant while Jose Calderon was hurt. When Calderon was back they went back to burrying Bayless on the bench.

Bayless and Eric Gordon are both 6'3" and 210-220 pounds. They both are stubby but powerful guys. Their athletisism and scoring ability are very comparrible. I'm thinking the Knicks need to contact Jerryd Bayless asap and try to sign him to a contract.

Injuries? Eric Gordon got the max even though he hasn't played much in over a year with knee problems. Bayless had a sports hernia or some **** that shut him down last year. I think Bayless risk is less and he could come here and possible start at the shooting guard spot and do very well next to Lin.

Well we need more than 2 guards!! He shot 42% from 3 point range last year--can dribble drive a good passer rebounder--how about hes a good player who can help the team. Were banking on TO TD?

But do we need more than 2 point guards? I don't see this guy playing the 2 for us.

The problem with your statement is its based on the stigma that he has on his head. Check the links I posted and also read my posts here on him....as a starter the dude is legit.

He's definately not a true pass first point guard, but neither is Eric Gordon and they are the same exact size!!! but nobody has a problem with him at shooting guard.
