Unless he knows some magic that will fix his back and restore the explosiveness in his knees.
Amare needs to develop his game to suit his new athletic reality.

Spot up Jumper,
Scored from the Post
and taking his man off the dribble for floaters in the lane (not thunderous dunks that he can no longer do consistantly).
OH and rebound and defend to the best of his new ability.

Once he does that we become a better team.

Key to remember: Knicks still have pieces without Iman for a $6m sign&trade free agent. Expect them to remain aggressive.

If this is true were fine. We don't need big names, we need solid contributors. We need Lin healthy and we need 1 or 2 of the Players who are FA's and at or below the 6m sign and trade price range.

At PG:
Dragic
DJ Augustin
George Hill
Raymond Felton
Kirk Hinrich
Jerryd Bayless
JOhn Lucas

SG:
Nick Young
Marco Bellinili
Danny Green
SHannon Brown
Randy Foye
Delonte West
Jodie Meeks
Willie Green

We Don't need a big splash, we made our big splash last year with Tyson Chandler and the year before with

"Having the pieces" means we have players whose salaries add up to 6 mil. It doesn't mean any team will want those pieces in an S & T.
I agree on Amare. People drastically overrate the impact that a player can have on his teammates.

At this point our roster is weak as hell and we have either holes or major question marks in 3 positions. I have no idea how anyone expects this team to be a title contender the way it is currently constructed.

Good post Killa can't wait to fill out the roster with those guys. We have enough stars just need pieces that compliment them. So glad Fields is gone

I disagree. Many times STAT had it going and they failed to get him the ball! Also he hasn't gotten the great looks Nash used to give him since he's been here. Nash is so much better than any PG we've had it's not even close. Nash would've made a difference. Hopefully Lin will continue to develop and get STAT and others great looks.

I think we're gonna end up with Felton as his backup.

I disagree with your disagree. Many times he had it going but he picked up to many stupid chargers and fouls that to him out the game. Amar'e is in the same boat as Gasol in L.A. someone has taken their place in the O. Gasol used to be the focal point in the post and the go to option now he is a high post player and screener. Amar'e used to be the primary screener but Tyson took that away from him. He must learn to adjust. Maybe he will. Lin will help him and hopefully they will get together this summer and gain a better understanding of how to play with each other. Supposedly it is the first time a coached ever asked him to work on his low post game so he is going to try and improve it which is a start. However, I think another part of his game that needs improving besides his D is his passing. He left a lot of assist off the stat sheet because of his lack of skills. He needs to learn how to pass out of the high post and hit Chandler or etc.

Exactly. I think we, like most teams, have nice role players but do not have any legit stars.
