I would still trade Tyson + Amare for Dwight, Turk and maybe redick.

C - Dwight
PF - Turk, Melo, Jorts
SF - Melo
PG - Lin + FA + TD
SG - Fields, Redick, Shump

I think it is more of a fit for what the Knicks are trying to run and less redundant

i would do it talent wise but Dwight has proven to me that he is a big baby. Also he has a hard on for deron williams for a while now. I mean i have never haerd him interested in teh knicks only the nets

Well ... I remember this trade suggestion in a previous post(s) and many rejected the idea

How about if we had to throw in shump?

Tyson/Amare/Shump for Howard/Turk/Redick

I still do it.

The problem is that dwight would be gone in a year. I mean he wants the nets and thats it from what he has said.

No trust involved. Knicks can't do it if Dwight does not extend.

So amar'e is finished because he has a bulging disc, but Howard is going to be fine after having back surgery for a herniated disc?

Amare does not just have a back problem. He has eye, knee, back and (lack of) explosive issues. Do you think Howard's contract will be insurable?

I just dont see it happening. I'd rather just go with what we have now especially since we have had to deal with the melo/d'antoni crap last year. I mean Dwight will be crying when woodson gets on him the first time i imagine

Makes sense but it wont happen...theres no chance of that happening at all
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Combining the drama mama of the 2010-2011 season with the drama mama of the 2011-2012 season would make for a pretty unlikeable team in my opinion.

Pre-injury I would have done it. Now I don't want to give up that much. I would trade Amare and parts. Then trade Tyson for a high end SG. Of ORL doesn't do it phuck them and phuck Howard too.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

That would be a terrible deal for the Knicks. Howard is not much of an upgrade over Chandler then throw in STAT to boot?
