this guy needs to get his head examined if he isn't in Vegas Summer League working on figuring out his role in the NBA. douglas needs to go back to the drawing board, figure out what worked when he had good games (believe it or not toney was decent back in the day), and rediscover his mojo.

career percentages:
rookie: 46% FG, 39% 3
2nd year: 42% FG, 37% 3
last year: 32% FG, 23% 3

wtf happened to this guy? his game totally fell apart last year.

In that clip, Douglas is drilling 3's, and once the D respects his shot he is able to drive and get fouls. TD should be in the gym every day this summer shooting 3's, both off the dribble and catch and shoot. the opportunity is there for him, he needs to get the confidence back. summer league is the best way to get the season off on the right foot by schooling these young'uns and has-beens.

come on Toney D, shape up and bring your A game this fall!

I don't think he fully recovered from the shoulder. He also looked a lil heavier last season.

Why did we extend this guys contract? Maybe so he can be used as a trade piece to complete a trade? You know make the $$$ work

I have no idea why he was extended. I don't think he is an enticing trade piece. Toney is a great character guy and has a tremendous work ethic. If his second off year was because of continued issues with his shoulder he could come back. He had a great opportunity last year and after blowing it still got a second chance. Maybe this will be his year.

I really wish people would stop talking about him as a trade chip . I think there are prolly 30 kids in the NBA summer league that are as good as him..... So why would any team trade for him???

i think douglas has had bad shoulder problems that last 2 yaers which will effect your shot. I had a similar problem and my shot wasnt as accurate as it usually was and once i got healthy it was back

he would be a cheap option and would fit greatly in Miami's rotation, if he regains his shot/confidence....
he doesn't have to facilitate there, make decisions, and there is ball movement to set him up.
Also, with the rest of those shooters, he has plenty of room to operate, something he didn't have this past year in NY.
Would be a great time for The Heat to buy low, if TD does get traded, as a "cap killer" for 2m.

I still believe td has a role on this team. No hes not great but he can at least give 8-10mpg

I just dont believe that he was a decent role player and then after one bad yr he forgot to play ball

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

TD is done here. He's a fringe rotation player on a lottery team and a scrub on a good one.

Douglass had shoulder surgery last year and it was obvious that he did not recover well from it. The lack of rehab due to the lock out didn't help matters either. Just as Amare said he didn't get to rehab properly.

I can see Douglas coming back better next year. I'm a believer that it take an entire year from surgery to get back to form.

Lots of NBA players can look good when given free reign in an offense like Dantoni's. Im very skeptical of Lin for that reason
