Lots of talent, but also a distracting influence. Might have issues with Not sure he would fit in offensively with the Knicks- similar in some ways to Anthony in his desire to play iso ball. I've always considered him the type of player who wants to be the focal point of an offense- I don't see him as a complimentary player.

Lewis has issues, but I think the stretch 4 concept is one that a team lacking in outside shooting might desire. Not sure he is the guy we would want at this point, but I think he is a better fit than Beasley, in theory, anyway, for what it is worth.

Wasn't that trade one of their biggest mistakes? I mean the Hedo-Lewis combo was pretty serious.

Didn't Lewis get busted for performance enhances or something like that? Not sure he is worth it, he fell off a lot after Orlando.

I completely forgot about that; you're right, he was suspended for PED's and has never been the same player.

He's also had knee issues since then too, so it might not be all down to the PEDs. Last season he looked terrible, and his attitude stunk too. Granted he was stuck on the wizards, but still, the guy made no effort at all, it was embarrassing to watch. He claims he has rehabbed his knees so they wont be an issue, but I doubt he's got anything left.

the funny thing is you could probably get lewis for cheaper than novak. i'd almost be inclined to do just that.

I know the dude is listed at 6'10", but he can't play the PF position if he's not juicing. This currently leaves the team very undersized at the 4/5 - Amare/Chandler/Harrelson - I know the goal is to sign Novak, who is listed as a 4, but let's be real, guy can't guard a big man to save his life. He gets eaten up.

Rashard Lewis is a scorer, nothing more, and we have enough of that in Anthony, STAT, Smith, Novak, assuming the last 2 re-sign. We need defense up front and not much else. A guy who can hang in the paint, post up, get put-backs and boards, and hustle back on D. We should be reaching out to Ryan Hollins and contacting Stiesma's agent. But I highly doubt we are.

If we gamble on Lewis we really are only giving Melo a scoring back up, cuz I've never seen the dude play the 2.

3: Anthony/Lewis/Novak/White
4: STAT/Harrelson
5: Chandler

We have much bigger needs at the 1, 2, and 5 then we do at the 3 IMO, ESPECIALLY after signing James White who can play the 2/3.
