I think Kidd since we can retain JR for 2.8m assuming he takes it. Then add Odom & a shooter at sg for vet min. Draft young pg to eventually backup Lin

I voted for Kidd but would be happy with either. If the Knicks could get Kidd I think it would be huge.

Foye might ne able to backup lin but knicks cant take that vhance. Hopefully jr has a goof shooting year

We can get Foye for the MLE and Kidd for the BAE, but if i had to choose one, Foye would be the pick. He's younger, and fills multiple needs with his ability to shoot and backup Lin too.

Kidd if Lin stays so he can mentor and back him up. He'll also be cheaper, can hit the 3 and run the half court.

foye is still young and can play 2G or PG

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Foye, he's 10 years younger than Kidd, plays good D, and hit the most 3s the second half of the year outside of Novak.

The way I see it is quality PG's are harder to sign than guys like Foye who you can sign for the vet min. 3pt specialists that is. If you go the other route with younger guys like Flynn & TD you are risking that they do not have the experience to run the team. If last year taught us anything it is that the PG position can't be overlooked. Lin misses anytime we are finished without a capable backup. I have no problem with drafting a third string pg to eventually backup Lin

Seriously guys we want young players that can get better.Biggest mistake would be to go name over talent.Thats why I like JR Smith he is in his prime.Im fine with the old guys with vet min but not the MLE.

With guys like melo, amare & chandler you need to surround them with winning experienced veterans not younger players still trying to find their roles. Sure you can carry young players on the bench and develop them to take the reigns one day. Look at the last 4 champions celtics, lakers, mavs & heat tons of experieced role players

I saw Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony playing a lot of minutes as well. A 27 year old is still an experienced veteran. I want players who are athletic and can move still.Not ancient point guards like Baron Davis

Chalmers is decent but we have lin who is younger and far superior. Joel anthony is worthless only has a ring cos lebron wade bosh. Outside the big 3 shane battier & mike miller game 5 were the biggest contributors. And they are prehistoric

Did anyone here see Kidd last year? Dude is washed up. Bringing Bibby back at the vet minimum would make more sense then giving Kidd $3M.

Joel Anthony is a better defender and shot blocker than JJ.
In fact we only have 1 player that is better than Joel Anthony, Tyson Chandler.
You can say JJ moves better a little better, but Joel Anthony is superior in rebounding, man to man defense, and shot blocking.
A center's #1 priority is to protect the paint not run out to the 3point line to defend a guard.

We need an elite PG as far as the thinking side of the game is concerned to be able to get our stars aligned. I know he isn't the same player he used to be but he would make up for his negatives by getting the most out of this team offensively. 3 mil will seem like a bargain if he can do that.
