Obviously we all agree Amare had his worst year in a while. He did have a great stetch before he got hurt but overall is was disappointing. If we could get the Amare of 2010 and the melo of the final 25 games of 2012 it will be very hard to beat us. i mean if these two can just play well together there is no reason why we canr realistically beat the heat

I agree with you on us being great if both Melo and Stat play at a high level together. But I'm not sure we'll see Stat rebound. I'd settle for improved D, rebounding and hitting his J consistently. He doesn't have to score 25 a game for us to be good.

That's what I meant to. I don't know if he can get back to where he was. He seemed all kinds of lost this year.

Im not sure if Amare really wants it the way he did his years in Phoenix or his first year with the Knicks. I want to see some fire next year.

I hope so. He's working on his post game already and doing 2 workouts per day. We'll also see how he responds to the coach with a full training camp to emphasis rebounding and defense. He had a huge drop off last year, but maybe it was due to not working out over summer, the back injury not being dealt with properly, the weight gain and then his brother dying. We just need 2 more good, productive years from Amar'e, as he becomes tradeable then due to being an expiring. It would be great to see him bounce back next season.

STAT will 100% bounce back. NBA lockout, coming off the back injury, not being in basketball shape and dealing with his brothers death took a toll.

He looked like himself for a stretch last season until he got hurt again.
