WOW!!!! Sweet! So, we seriously get one more major MLE free agent? I never saw this coming. Lin and Novak are staying? Holy ****.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think Novak might have swayed the arbitrator. Thank You Steve. Now i hope we dont use the MLE on JR. If he wnats to pick up his option then fine but we need to concentrate on nash, felton, allen guys like that who we dont need to be stars just help with thre point shooting and be a great backup to lin

We actaully have a shot at guys like Nash, Ray Allen, etc. now. Impossible to overstate how big this was for the Knicks.

CHRISTMAS IN JUNE!!!!

I had a good feeling about this one. For one thing it seemed wholly unfair to just arbitrarily nix a hardworking players Bird Rights just cuz they got waived and i felt a fair person would see that.

This is HUGE for the Knicks and I'm glad to see we got a break again with with ruling. Now Grunwald has to go to work and pick up the phone and make some calls. Nash... maybe Allen. Let's get it done.

nash turned 38 in february and averaged 13pts/11apg last year. what's the problem with adding him?

Yeah, no to JR long term. He shot 31% from the field during the first round with 18% from three. 41% FG overall. Those are terrible numbers for a guy who is clearly not the #1 option. He takes WAY too many bad shots. There's no way he should be taking more shots than Amar'e. Yet, that is exactly what happened during the first round of the playoffs. He's not a long term option. If we're using him to bridge until Shump's return, then fine, but unless he severely changes his game, he's not a long term option.

I've been saying that this case might determine how far we go this next season. retaining an up and coming pg and the best shooter in the game without using our MLE or LLE is huge. If JR picks up his option fine but if he wants more we cant do it. We need to focus on nash, kidd, allen gusy who are veterans but can still help this team in the postseason. I cant belive we finally had some good luck its been years

Although we had some bad injuries at horrible times, we've been incredibly lucky. Spinning spare parts into Tyson Chandler, Jeremy Lin, Steve Novak, both their bird rights being retained...amazing. I was so depressed after seeing Miami win. So happy right now.

Come on Grunwald Call'em up!!! Hello Steve... Hello Lamar... This is the time to try and push this roster into overdrive. I don't know if we can get both but if Lamar really wants to play here then maybe he'll take less and have a shot at a ring in NY.
