I second that emotion lets go knicks !

Look I like guys whom say they want NY (being here) like Melo or Amare. Dont want no one whom dont want to be NYer (LBJ)
thus no issue with him not playing for us..

Sorry, no congratulations from me. LeBron is a duche, I did not want him to win and that's all there is to it. Did you see the ref high five Spoelstra? Today is a sad day, I wanted anyone but Miami. I was rooting for the Celtics this playoffs, damn it !!

I've rooted for Celtics too
what I disdain about heat they begrudgingly do not give any credit to their coach Erik Spoestra
as matter of fact only Bosh, LBJ Partially in Game #4 win says positive stuff for 1st time on Coach Erik

Tonite at podium D-Wade gave all credit to team and To 'Coach Pat Riley' as Wade made sure he emphasize Coach Riley
until a reporter had to ask him a direct question on Coach Erik S, which D-Wade stumbled on words.

Wade is a phony and I disdain him most
a terrific player but even Bosh whom dont care for at least gives honest answers and low keyed.

Celtics shoulda taken them out Game#6 in beantown
but it wasnt there time

Next yr it may be 2 different teams in finals OR
maybe OKC and Eastern NBA Champion, Heat had no serious injury bugs and they will be hard pressed to return again
who NBA world will gun for them & I dont buy into it HEAT Ego's wont be a factor.

Congrats to LeBron. I don't like how he went about the decision and all, but time to let bygones be bygones. LeBron accomplished something incredible, and props for that. I see the Heat winning 4 out of 6 overall, so 3 out of the next 4 seasons, I think they'll win the championship. My guess is OKC slips it out one year and sneaks in a title.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Their championship should have an "*" next to it for a few reasons:
1 - Max cats getting together to win. Hey you guys, lets get together at the local park and challenge some children to a game. The thrill of victory.
2 - Refs, don't get me started here.

I have a much respect for them as I do for a professional wrestler winning a pre-arranged match, note the similiarities.

That is money. I'll add to that LeBron has a history of not congratulating when he is on a losing end of the series.

Yea I got a chuckle out of watching him congratulate the thunder. I was thinking man if you lost you'd be in the lockerroom and showeres by the end of the game. What r u gonna do??

I'll give him props for being a douche. Screw Lebron and the Heat. Can't wait to kick the crap out of them next year.

Normally taking a pay cut because winning is more important is admirable or at least respectable.

Bailing on a franchise on national tv and teaming up with one of the other best players in the league is respectable?

Yeah, sorry. I have respect for LeBron's talent and basketball IQ, but shaving a few million off a year from his paycheck (which of course is nothing compared to his endorsement deals) doesn't compensate for the disgraceful way he quit in Game 5 against the Celtics three years ago and the abortion that was The Decision.

Well if Melo had been willing to "shave a few million off," as you put it, by waiting until free agency and signing with us, we'd be in a much better situation. Lebron wanted to win. Melo wanted to live in NYC.

Look at the crap they surrounded him with. They quit on him at least as much as he did on them. The Decision on national TV was the biggest mistake of Lebron's career but is small compared to mistakes many humans make in their lifetimes.

Can a guy grow or do we hold him for all the mistakes he made in the past?

He has done some silly things mostly born from being arrogant and having fun at the same time.

He took it way down this year and came up big where he had to.

The public crowned him "king" before he earned it. Nobody puts a gun to our heads and makes us watch the games.

His is now bonafide "king james".

Im sure we all now expect him to win 4-5 more rings before we can put him in the rare air of Jordan and Kobe but this is a different era so its hard to compare.

I give him one thing, he is the best basketball player I have ever seen. Not perfect but better than Kobe and Jordan. Bigger, faster and a better passer than either!

Kobe and Jordan have their despicable sides also. Far from being perfect. What has Lebron done that is so awful? Walked off the court? The Powder? The Decision (which cost him tens of millions)? Compared to kobe and jordan this dude is a Boy Scout.

Is he a winner? A sociopath type driven winner like Jordan and to a lesser extend Kobe? Not yet. But has the game face now that he did not before.

And now he has a ring.

I don't like the Heat. Hate the decison, hate the clown act but I respect what he and the Heat did this year. Lebron grew up this year on the court. What he does off it is his business.

He got Eddy some jewelry. That is a feat!

Who mentioned Melo?! You just said Lebron was to be admired/respected for taking a paycut. I offered my reasons why I don't think that his vow of poverty outweighed the other douchiness on his record.

I don't recall a whole lot of people comparing The Decision to the Khmer Rouge. It was a dick move and kick to the crotch of a tortured fan base.

Melo is one of the many of examples of how rare it is to take a million dollar pay cut. Regardless, Nalod is right about people maturing. I was upset with Lebron for a day or so over the decision. People who care two years later need to get over it.
