I am in. I have not bought Knicks tickets in like 5 years and now they are out of my price range anyway. The only Knick merchandise I've purchased was a jacket and that was in the late 90ies.

Passing on Phil to hire Woody was the last straw. I am considering not following the NBA anymore till Dolann dies.
I will stick around to see what happens with Lin/Shumpert but I predict Lin will be marginalized and I will be happy to leave this forum as well as the NBA.

Financial patronage cannot change anything.Knicks will still make simular profits. And ticket prices are just silly now. . .

I never have nor ever will buy a jersey.

Idol worship. Ok for kids to age 12 but adults wearing another mans jersey?

Ok to wear a team colors. Hockey jersey replica with NO NUMBER or NAME. Same for Football, soccer, and basketball but to me it looks silly to wear it over a shirt.

As far as Dolan, if this was about him I'd long ago give up this team. Personally I think the BobCats or Nets will win a championship before the Knicks.

Ticket sales are just one of many sources of revenue. Regardless, if people join the club, the stadium will be empty.

Watching the games on TV puts money in Dolan's pocket.

Here's a cause that I can get behind whole-heartedly.
Dolan has little regard for the fans and high regard for
his bottom line. He knew that getting Melo to pair with STAT
would put clueless fannies in the seats and he could have cared less
(had he even known) that he was mixing oil with water.
As a result, this franchise will be mediocre at best
until those contracts run out. Then, if he's still at the helm,
(sadly) he'll have yet another chance to screw the pooch.
Long live Donnie Walsh.

Been a Knick fan since I was little going back to Bernard King, Ray Williams, Rory Sparrow, Ken 'the Animal' Bannister, etc. The team was far removed from contending for a championship then, as they are nearly 40 years later. As a 7-8 year old, I had no idea who the owner was and didn't care. How do you ask a die-hard fan to all of a sudden stop supporting its favorite team? The Knicks are a part of my life and have been for a very long time. Detaching myself from them is nearly impossible....

Not enough to support starphucking, especially if you don't use Cablevision.

We're still Knicks fans. We're not detached from the team. We just don't pay Dolan.

Dolan is a premium douche and in the conversation for worst owner in pro sports. But it is what it is.

He's the owner, the lucky kid who got to inherit all his daddy's stuff and short of him being charged with treason for selling nukes to Iran, he's not going anywhere. It's like getting really, really upset at Jupiter.

And, yeah, I'm sure any financial shortfall suffered from a boycott would be felt by Dolan and he'll wake up one day and realize that the fans and media had it right all along and graciously step aside.

Either that or Joe the guy with five kids and an overdue electric bill who's working the concessions stand as his third job will get fired.

People sell unprofitable businesses quite often. It can happen. I think it's unlikely but not impossible that it would happen here, though. There are so many fans who have bought into every starphuck so far and I doubt they'll ever stop. Dolan selling the team is the only solution that would work and at least it has greater than a 0% chance of happening. Most likely the Knicks will never compete for a title in my lifetime though (and I'm a healthy 33 year old).

Well, technically, I guess 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 is greater than 0.

I agree. The closest I came was not caving and getting direct tv during the time warner fiasco. However, I paid a lot for my tv so that I could watch the Knicks on it. While I didn't miss a game because I streamed them, it wasn't the same.

If you watch the games then Dolan collects advertising revenue - are you boycotting that as well?
