Be impartial.
I can't believe I'm reading that anyone thinks Melo is better.
I'm looking at this as purely a basketball enthusiast, NOT a Knicks fan.
Carmelo Anthony
Dwyane Wade
They are equal

Wade no doubt, but I do question Wade when he declines because he has taken so much physical contact and continues to do so on a nightly basis.
That is what makes him a monster but it will eventually all catch up on him.

As a guard, he blocks shots, posts up, grab rebounds, takes charges, and he facilitates/moves the basketball.
He looks to constantly penetrate and break the defense down, which opens up the game for his team mates, while Melo looks to score off many bad shot selection.

More importantly, if Wade, was traded for Melo, it would instantly make us much better, because he will compliment/mesh with our team much better.
Wade does look to go Iso many times, as some are bad selection shots like Bryant, however, he brings much more to the table than Melo.
Wade as a SG, has the ability to post up, penetrate, and play lock down defense, while helping the boards/help/team defense.

Amare, Melo, and Tyson Chandler to not fit well together, while many people here seem to have trouble accepting it.
This disgusts me how many just "do not believe" why they should not be able to work it out.
All the reasons are there why they do not work well together, if we watch the games.
They only played well after the stretch when Dantoni was fired.
However, we did not play any ELITE or near ELITE teams...

I voted Wade even though I hate him. Better defensive player and athletic freak. Maybe not as athletic as he was, but still one of the best 10 players in the league. Melo has a different offensive skill set than Wade but I'd say offensively the 2 are a wash. It's what Wade brings as a defender and the fact that he's lead a team to a title that seperate him.

If I was voting solely on who I'd take at this moment it would be Melo. Wade has been a bitch this playoffs....not getting back on D, complaining, etc. I think Melo is more hungry and the defensive end is all about effort. He certainly has the ability to be a very good defender. If he brings it from day 1 next season he can put himself back in the top 10 conversation.

The guy in the finals putting up solid games and making extraordinary athletic plays and playing team ball. That's who.

Wade's game is predicated on his immense physical tools. Obviously the guy is highly skilled but he isn't going to give you those blocks, penetration, and finishing around the rim without his elite athleticism.

Melo is 6'9" with a silky smooth jumper and rebounds like a beast.

I dont exactly like SG's with suspect jumpers. I'd roll with 20 yr old Wade versus 20 yr old Melo. At 30 yrs old I do the opposite.

Watching a team that consisted of Amare & Wade would be like watching a team consisting of Antonio Mcdyess & Mcgrady, vince carter, michael finley, jason richardson, penny or stackhouse. Watching them in expensive suits making $20mil per and eventually bought out and getting picked up by a contender as a role player.

Wade, no question. Prior to teaming with LeBron and Bosh, Wade was considered one of the top 3 players in the league. Team him up with Amar'e and Wade is scoring near 30 ppg as he's capable of. No contest. Carmelo is more like 10-12th best player in the league. Wade is still top 5 if you're adjusting his stats for the fact he plays with LeBron and Bosh.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You did watch the EC finals right? You did see Wade STILL making ridiculous moves and jumping over 7 fters to get boards right? Is it not clear how hard this dude trains and the shape he's in? I've never seen him wince and gag for air like Melo does by the end of the 3rd quarter. NEVER.

Again. Considered one of the top 3 players in the league in his prime scoring 26 on lottery teams. He is not a top 3 player now as he is breaking down on the wrong side of his prime

That's your opinion. I don't agree. Meanwhile, you have Wade who is a 50% shooter at 6'4", while Melo is a 43% shooter at 6'8". Melo is clutch in the final moments, I agree, but he loses us games with his erratic shooting at times. You don't get as much of that from Wade. Melo has the talent to be in the top 5, but until he stops taking selfish shots that aren't in the flow of the offense, he will never get there. He doesn't make his teammates better. End of story.

agree, It will be a good argument on who is the better player in a couple more years,

but as for now, it has been Wade so for and will continue till those physical contact catches up to his body.

Stats can be very misleading but no doubt, WADE would fit for the Knick's much better and for majority of the teams in the NBA.
Wade's abilities, versatility, defense, facilitating, post up presence at guard, and penetration MAKES players around him better.
He would open the game up for Amare's offensive game and compliment Tyson Chandler and Iman defensively.
While Melo may put up great numbers at times, it comes at the cost of poor shot selection, team chemistry, and high volume shooting.

I think you are wrong about Wade fitting with the Knicks better because he does not stretch the floor. There would be no shooters around him and teams would pack the lane to stop him from driving. All you do is force everyone to shoot.

That and the fact that having amare & wade on the same team would be like having mcydess & mcgrady sitting at the end of the bench in expensive suits until finally being bought out and signed by a contender on the cheap. While being paid by the new york knicks

Nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree. I just dont see melo being capable of getting fields, jr & jeffries to hit shots consistently. Shaq, lebron & bosh yea sure but not this group of knicks. Again Wade w
Put up amazing stats on lottery teams. Did melos teams ever miss the playoffs despite never having that 2nd legit superstar?

Scoring efficiency? Rebounding for position? Passing? Steals? blocks? There is nothing Melo does better than Wade.

Wade hasn't looked right since he came back from his injury. If Melo isn't better right now, he will be in the very near future.

I put down Equal.

I really just wanted to see the results.

Wade not in finals if not for Lebron but who knows how he assimilates on a well rounded team.

Two different players.

If I had to choose I go with melo.

Especially "YouTube" variant!

The results are based on wade from 2009 when he was in bis prime and clearly a top 3 player in the league. Judging from the comments. I still want to know the percentage of people who would take wade right now over Melo. I think only one or two would
