Could be a great comeback year for him if he gets it right this offseason. If his jumper returns and is healthy, i see him averaging 20 and 8 and being extremely efficient. What do you expect him to put up for numbers this year?

Tough to say after this season. I think he can do much better and will work hard to make it happen, but the drop off between season 1 and season 2 was pretty dramatic/shocking.

Hopefully he can get it together.

I wouldn't consider 20 and 8 a great come back it's still underachieving by far.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

"I SEE".........

you can see the future?

How about "I HOPE!".......

I read the blog too how his mid range shot went to hell and he "Should" do better.

I like the guy and HOPE he can get his legs and back in shape and that shot returns.

I remember pre Melo he was just lighting it up and was top 5 MVP type season.

Zach Randolph used to average 20 and 10 with ease.

20 amd 8 means nothing if he refuses to defend and box out.

A'mare could take the backseat in the scoring and put up 15-18pts per game......i could except that if he can average 2 blocks and 12 rebounds per game. No excuse with his ability and bravado he tries to pretend he has

Not gonna be cynical here. When STAT is given the ball in his spots he usually produces. The only thing holding him back was his back. I expect him to be his usual self if they have his back treatments timed appropriately. He looked strong after he got his epidural.

he has to find his jumper. remember in the 2010-11 season his jumper was lethal and he was pretty much unstoppable

Back injuries, and uninsured knees are troubling. One thing about Amare, he is vigoruos about his rehab and will be as ready as is physically possible. The fact that his back acted up about 10 months after the original injury is troubling. Hopefully he is ok and comes back strong.

Yeah he didn't get the Epidural before. He only went with natural methods and that's why it took so long to heal in the 1st place. The Epidural has a combination of Anti-inflamation medicine and pain killers so that he can go thru therapy and work to strengthen his core. I think now that he's done it once, he'll be more inclined to use it again but in a timely fashion so that he can be healthy the whole year. He can keep doing this for the rest of his career or get an operation to relieve the pressure on the nerves, but I think he'll take the non surgical route for the now.
