I think that this team as currently constructed can make some serious noise next season, but i also believe there are deals out there for Stoudemire if the front office looks hard enough. Stoudemire to Toronto for Bargnani and fillers make a ton of sense for both teams. Toronto has some decent pieces, but lacks a real impact star. They have cap space, and good players who fit around a star. They are also making a push towards Nash, which would also make it make sense. Knicks would add a true stretch 4, capable of carrying a secondary offensive role. He would fit nicely between Melo and Chandler. I am just bored, throwing ideas out, but i think if Stoudemire were to get traded, this would make the most sense for both teams involved.

how about just keeping him so we can get 20ppg 8rebs and 55% scoring from our PF? Just a thought...

I am all for keeping him, and believe he will return to his all-star form. Just throwing out the idea that if we were to trade him, here is something that makes sense.

If we keep him thats all well and good, but how do we solve the lack of 3-point shooting in the lineup?

The problem with keeping Amare is that the new CBA is restrictive. Having a guy average 20 and 8 while making 20 million is bad for our cap. Especially with our lack of a bench.

Don't believe Toronto would consider it unless they saw Stat playing like he did when he first got here. If he is and the Knicks are racking up the wins, mgmt might not want to mess with success.

Bring in Nash and Amare and hire MDA..........

You bring in Bargnani we should call up MDA and ask him to return.

7 footer with range is exactly what we need.

I would trade Amare for BroPez straight up. He'd be a better fit.

Get beyond the fact he is a Net and a P.ussy. Its not like Amare plays good defense and rebounds at a high level either.

BroPez can knock down a 20 footer.

would you guys stopppppppppppppp...lol

Stat and melo arent going Anywhereeeeeeeeeeee!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

S&T's are no longer possible when over the cap. So that is a big deal.

Basically you either have the cap space or you wont be involved in S&T's.

Yea, I wanted Arenas along with McGee and their pick. Nice try though.

Bargnani? Really nice offensive player. Unfortuneately, he doesn't play an ounce of defense and rebound like a SG...If people got angry with David Lee this guy would get eaten alive.

Amare has shown us he can be among the best in the game when used in the right fashion. With Melo dominating the ball he dissapeared on both ends. When he is getting his looks I think he can stay engaged. He's never gonna be a great defender, but he did block a lot of shots 2 years ago. I can't with my right mind just dump Amare right now. We haven't even really given it a good chance to work. I'll say it 5 million times this offseason, but its rare that you can have 2 players of this caliber on the same team, so lets try to figure this out.

Amare is breaking down. We need to dump him.

Which brings it back to why did we get rid of David Lee to overpay for Amare again? Oh right because we put all our eggs in the Lebron basket and then got played as usual

I think it's more than that. Amar'e fits well in D'Antoni's system, not Woodson's. Amar'e is a lead scorer/banger type, his defense is mediocre at best. We already got a scoring forward, and we have nobody to help Tyson to defend the low post. Therefore, it is most logical/economical to trade him. However, his salary is scary to most other teams. If we can somehow find a team that needs a scoring power forward with cap space.....
