Anybody whose been down to south beach knows they have a zero tolerance laws.wont make to much of this arrest..

this is the type of thing celebrities always seen to get arrested for. Athletes and actors!!

He did not have one last year.

After his accident a few years back, you'd think the kid would kind of take things a bit more serious.

Is JR still delusional enabled egocentric athlete who never grew up?

Get a freaking drivers license if you want th privilege to drive!

He gets into an accident and hurts someone he would have been in huge trouble and the civil penalities could have wiped him out.

Riding a scooter...on the beach..and I thought it was a warrant not that he was currently driving with a suspended license

The warrent was for driving without a license on a scooter last year. He was pulled over, still withouth a license and was arrested due as a bench warrant was issued from the incident last year.

Smith played like crap in the playoffs in a contract year. Not really excited about bringing him back, but for what they would probably be paying him it wouldn't really bother me.

Not sure which is worse posters who preach a holier than thou moral code, or posters who get facts wrong when pointing fingers at athletes. What does it make you when you do both at the same time?

JR was not driving. He was identified and arrested while at a business establishment by the same cop who arrested him for riding a scooter without a license (LOL). Seems like this cop doesn't have enough to do.

i dont mind as long as its only for his player option. But anymore more isnt worth it

Inaccurate?

Smith’s license was suspended in 2009, as part of his sentence for a 2007 reckless driving accident that killed his friend, Andre Bell. The suspension ran through March of this year. Smith, who lives in New Jersey, has had his license suspended five other times.

This is a find outstanding person with a great regard for the law, the rules and very professional.

I don't get the people defending JR for getting arrested with anything related to driving or having(not having) a valid license. As Nalod mentioned, he got his best friend killed driving and got his license suspended 5 other times. This is not even counting his other off the court issues including tweeting big butts, fighting with fans, fighting with players. Research first before you defend idiots that repeat the same mistakes over and over! Maybe he'll change now that he's hooked up with Rihanna....ehh that can't end up well for either.
