we should'nt lose but the c's are playing good ball. i don't know what ainge's angle is. it could be lunacy or pure genius. saying that he wished the team will not make the playoffs to get a lottery pick is a very bold move. i don't know if he meant it or used it as a ploy to rejuvanate the team to play better, especially with the timing in the last quarter of the season. almost like the movie " major league". the team hating management so they unify to defy him. in the process winning games.

if they miss the players they can get a good young player to play next to Pierce. They should trade ricky davis I don't know why they have him on the bench.

Ricky Davis's talent is being wasted right now--- no idea why--- perhaps he duplicates too many of Pierce's skills... either that or he's got some serious personality conflicts w/ the rest of the players and coaching staff.

The Celtics have a pathetically weak frontcourt. Mark Blount has been playing really well... but you might say he's playing over his head. Not sure. We have the size take advantage of them, regardless.

They also have no answer at PG, tho if Marbury freelances on D too much, Atkins will make the Knicks pay.

We will crush the Celtics. They had a good win vs. Min, no arguement there, but their other 4 wins in the steak were against Tor x2, Was and Orl.
Basicly they have been beating up on lousy East teams like we have... hopefully we show tonight we are simply better than they are.

I know I've mentioned this a couple times already, but I love Knicks vs. Celts. We should win this one. It's time to put an end to Boston's win streak and extend ours.

Boston (28-36) at New York (29-35) 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The surging Boston Celtics aim for a season-high sixth straight win when they visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

The Celtics, who have not won six consecutive contests since November 2-13, 2002, won a fifth straight game for the second time this season with an 80-77 upset at Minnesota on Sunday in which they rallied from a 13-point third-quarter deficit.

Jiri Welsch scored 14 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter for the Celtics, who had lost 13 of 14 before their winning streak.

Paul Pierce added 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Boston, which can tie New York for sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a victory.

The Knicks have won three in a row on the heels of a six-game skid and are coming off a 99-86 triumph at Washington on Sunday.

Stephon Marbury collected 24 points and 13 rebounds and backcourt mate Allan Houston added 23 points for New York, which held just a five-point lead before going on a 12-0 run bridging the final two quarters.

The Knicks, who were swept by the Celtics each of the prior two seasons, have won the first three meetings this campaign and can sweep Boston for the first time since 1996-97.

First Knick game I ever saw at MSG was back in 94 vs the Celtics. Tonight should be good, I have a feeling we will get the win and we need it as far as playoff standing goes.

Im venturing to say that this will be the replacement for the Bucks game, since its not televised.

Both teams competing for a good seed, both with streaks that are going to be broken. Will Boston get too co.cky after beating arguably the best team in the league? Pierce hasnt been scoring that much lately, more of all-around (assists, boards). High scoring games for Houston/Marbury with good support from TT, KT, Nazr?

It better be exciting.

That could be the final shot at the Buzzer that causes somebody to fall behind in standings.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I love when Sweetney has the ball almost as much as I hate when Shandon has it....but Shandon come on, on a 2 on 1 you dont give it up to Sweetney until youve completely drawn the defense. Hes not exactly Sprewell running the wing
