So although this isn't going to happen, it could work. If NY was to add a piece in the 2/3 spot in addition to another PG, we could work this lineup.
1. Lin/(NEW VET)/Bibby
2. Shump (when back) / Smith or (NEW GUY)
3. Fields / Novak (or NEW GUY) <-- this works because 1. Fields is too slow to guard 2-guards (Wade, Johnson, George) and 2. Novak will be relieved of having to handle PF duties since he's weak on D.
4. Anthony ( His money position - mismatch/mismatch/mismatch )/ Jeffries / Harrelson
5. Chandler & STAT <--- sharing the starting duties / (NEW GUY)
If I was Woodson, I would look for the right games to insert each one like a chess match. When you know you won't be too compromised from the jump by Amare's lack of D and will be helped by his offense (Sixers, Nets, Bobcats, Bucks, Hawks, Celtics) throw Amare in there. When you need Chandler's defense on a big C or to work the zone against fast teams (Magic, Heat, Bulls, Pacers, Pistons, Wizards)go with him.
Ain't gonna happen, but dreams are sometimes better than reality.
