Corey Brewer in 12 minutes has 18 points on 8-10 shooting and played GREAT defense

I was really not against MDA until last year when they were getting killed defensively and (among other things) he refused to play Brewer.

On this board many were extremely upset and many said "who cares, its corey Brewer".

Well ... corey brewer turned out to be a very good player. Did not make any sense.

Jordan Hill - people wanna say he is a stiff, maybe he is but he is certainly playing much much better. Tonight, the stats don't show it but he was the only Laker big who actually played well and played excellent defense. I can understand why MDA did not play him - not sure about the trade though.

There are rare exceptions like Jeffries but MDA only has 1 amnesty for a defensive player on his teams

Wow - you are so anti Denver!!

This has nothing to do with Denver - it has to do with the Stubbornness/Thick-headedness of MDA

i was thrilled when the knicks got corey brewer for AR. could not believe they waived him for nothing. such BS.

for what it's worth, dallas signed him to a three year deal and then waived him after the knicks let him go. sometimes a player needs to get to the right place to succeed. but the fact that the knicks never even took a look at him was astounding.

especially last year when it was probably the worst defensive output by a team in nba history!

You act like he had a carerer year in Denver. The guy put up the same stats he does year in year out.

he's a good young player who defends. he'd fit this team.

how would this crunch time lineup look? defensively dominant.

Shump
JR
Corey
Melo
Tyson

He played really good ball for Dallas. Thats why they signed him to a 3 year deal. They shipped him to denver for cap relief when they decided to go into the cost cutting direction.

That is true too. Nobody made him, he made himself. Pity it was not seen.

To say we could have used Brewer against Miami is an understatement. Defensive and athletic players who can score are NEEDED to play Miami.

Brewer got money from Dallas for this year that we could not, or would not have given him.

he got a three year deal. We drafted Shump.

If you get brewer we no get JR smith. Or maybe it was novak? Or maybe no room for Lin?

Ill take any of those three over Brewer. WE needed our guys this year. Brewer is a nice player but lets not lose ourselves.

Brewer was cap fodder.

Actually you never know what would have happen if he would have stayed. Its all speculation but to cut him and sign brown was stupid. You keep Balkman and sign Douglas to an extension really? It is what it is.

it appears hes not.

This is funny. I guess another subpar post season outing by Melo's Knicks while the Knick "spare parts" he was traded for are doing what he never could... win games vs. the Lakers.

HIGH larious

I love the knocks on MDA. Thank god we had the injuries to deflect responsibility from the players.

Until we get some more spare parts to cover Melo's shortcomings you can expect what you saw from the Nuggs... some allstar games and lots and lots of first round exits.
