Grunwald has his work cutout for him. I think this team can be further molded to make more sense than it does right now. Unfortunately Grunwald doesn't have a lot of great options to improve the team. Still there will be new additions next year and we have a LOT of spots to fill. What should Grunwald Do? What can he do?

Knicks already have their bench players in Fields, Douglas, Jorts, and Novak. They just need some quality starters.

The Knicks must rehabilitate TD and Landry and get them to play at a higher level. They have no choice!!! They're still young players that have some talent but were really out of it this year. I don't think that they are stuck at the level they played at this year. With work both players can get their games to a pro level again.

The problem is that this team is gonna have to find young raw talent out on the margins. Low draft picks and free agents is all I can see. The only option is some kind of trade, but who do we have that teams would want? You can't trade Lin or Shump!!! Those two are our starting back court!

You already have your starting line up even tho Shump will come in later due to his injury. Lin, Shump, Melo, STAT and Tyson. We don't have a sixth man off the bench since JR will be gone.

This team can be modeled to make more sense than it does right now? It better, because this team makes no sense right now. PG is still an issue and we have to see what can Lin get us for a whole season. Melo and Amar'e clearly don't work for a whole season, especially come playoff time. Most of the team is so fragile, that by the time the playoffs come, they all break down.

I know some would hate it but we'd be way more balnced instantly.

Wonder what Jeffries knee injury was- the just vaguely said he needed surgery. He wasn't very sought after when healthy, so hopefully, if it's not severe, we can resign him for the minimum. Glad Novak had a poor series- would love to re-sign him for the bi annual exemption.

Main priority is a back up PG and that's going to be tough with no money. Also we need a 3rd string PG if Bibby retires. Also a JR replacement. And a SG who can actually shoot.

I don't see how we're going to get all that!

Get Phil Jackson. Then maybe there's a shot for Nash, Odom, a useful 2 and scraps.

I believe we have just a second round pick, and aren't able to use our $3M in cash in any deal over the summer as we've used it already.


Does anyone recall when the cash option will reset?
