I know this might not be a popular move since he will not play next year--but signing him to a 2 year contract for 2mm(1mm per) would not be a terrible idea.

He said he was sitting out next season to fully heal. He wont be available to summer 2013.

I think we have some decent center prospects on the team already. No need to lock up a roster spot on Oden.
