Sorry, but this would be just really weird. I know it's business, but the lone antagonist of your professional playing career is going to give you your first head coaching gig?

They are friends. If BobCats get ADavis it might be the right mentor/coach for him.

Also, Ewing being a friend and rookie coach he would not be too strong in the organization where obviously Jordan rules. Larry Brown got fired for being "Larry" and the team was not strong enough to hold him in check.

Ewing needs the interview as no team has really granted him any. It might not be a serious interest in Ewing and Jordan might be just doing him a favor.

I hope he gets the gig. He is better off getting his first head coach experience in a small market with little pressure then with NY.

Knew this would happen once Silas got canned! Good for Patrick with his first Head Coaching job 2nd interview(Detroit last year). Its his job because of his obvious friendship with Jordan & no one is lining up to coach the bobcats.

First thing Pat should do when he gets the HC job is to hire JVG as his assistant.

Patrick Ewing, head coach. First name you think about with rebuilding projects. Good job Michael Jordan, owner!

This is Jordan's way of telling Ewing he still owns him.

That would be the worst thing for him to do. Everyone would assume that JVG is doing the real coaching and that Pat is just the mouthpeice.

And the fact that a legendary head coach like JVG who can have just about any nba job he liked would go be an assistant coach on the Bobcats of all teams
