Knicks now know how they have to play to win games. This team never had a identity. STAT & Melo were stepping in each others toes. Now they know they can play together in a big game and make it work. And most importantly they know what they can accomplish giving max effort defensively. Including STAT!! You have to play every quarter of every game like its your last.

In the past I would not feel too great about losing in the 1st round in 5 games BUT considering the opponent and how depleted the Knicks are they definitely have something to build on. Next year with Lin back in the lineup with Melo, STAT, Tyson & Shump. Would love to bring back Smith & Novak somehow. Smith is clearly more valuable as the quintessential 6th man. Maybe Novak being useless this series decreases his value and benefits the Knicks. I miss Lin drives & dish to the WIDE open Novak. Also will be nice to finally see this team at full strength under Woodson. Last time that happened we were 6-1 before Amare/Lin got hurt.
