We have 5 players who can compete with what the Heat has to offer...Melo, Chandler, STAT, Shump and JR...It's pointless trying to sign guys who can't match up against the Heat...It makes for a good regular season but let's face it, as currently constructed, we don't match up well at all...Throwing Lin the full MLE will just solidify this outcome the next few years...We either have to move big pieces which isn't going to happen or sign a PG who can play with the Heat and make Amare a viable player again...Give Lin a chance to develop, come off the bench with Fields and JR...We have to get lucky again signing guys who can probably make more elsewhere...JR's management is C and R who is close to Dolan, maybe they can work something out down the road...Lin will make the most endorsement money in a Knick uniform...Management has to be bold this offseason...Coming back as is just a recipe for failure...
