Some more good news...

Our talented and very deserving Rook is nominated for ROY. I guess they couldn't deny his awesomeness (I'm lookin at you Barkley/Smith/Shaq.. Rookie/Sophomore snub looking pretty dumb now huh?)

The other nominees:
Kyrie Irving
Kowhi Leonard
and the dude who's name makes Knicks fans everywhere cringe(hint:rhymes with Bisaih Bhomas)

Kyrie is obviously the favorite but you can't deny the impact Iman has had on our team. His fearlessness, his attitude, his work ethic and the way he commits to defense has been a breath of fresh air after years and years of underachievers on this team.

For all his efforts Kyrie's team did not make the playoffs but Iman has been a big reason why the Knicks have.

What do you all think of his chances?

That is awesome. Its nice to see that they are recognizing defensive players. I really hope Iman can fully recover from his knee injury. He is a special player.

Top 3 finish would definitely be well deserved considering his defensive impact. Probably lands around 4th or 5th. Can't see him beating out the other candidates due to his role and stats compared to the other rookies.

The real award is did he make All defensive team. Trying to think of two guards better than Iman and he should be in the mix with Iggy, Rondo, CP3, Dwade who ever else I'm missing.

I'd say ROY is still Kyrie's, but great to see Iman getting some recognition. Definitely deserving of All-Rookie team. It'd give NY 2 first-teamers in 2 years.

Iman was one of the very best rookies- that fact that he wasn't chosen for the young stars game was a total joke- I'm not sure how they made such an oversight.

Speculation was that it was from the game where he took a ton of shots in the first half of a game on tnt early in the season. Reggie MIller was joking that he should ice his arm and the rest of the tnt guys had a lot of fun with it also. He needed to be reinged in a bit but I think that game left a lasting impression with them and he wasn't chosen.
