--The Game 2 loss extended the Knicks' playoff losing streak to 12 games, which dates back to the 2001 postseason. The run matches the Memphis Grizzlies (2004-06) for the longest playoff losing streak in NBA history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. The Baltimore Bullets (1965-70) and Denver Nuggets (1988-94) are second on the list with 11. The 11 years since a playoff win is the longest active streak of any NBA team and the third longest in NBA history.

--The loss was also the first time Mike Woodson's Knicks have recorded consecutive defeats since he took over as head coach. The team had been 6-0 following a loss in that 24-game span before the playoffs began. Until Game 2, the Knicks were the only NBA team to not lose two straight games since Woodson's debut on March 14 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

11 Years man. 11 Frickin' years without winning a single playoff game...

Who cares..Those numbers are scewed base on the number of injuries over the years ..It's not really an accurate reflection of where the team is..Full strength they could have won a few games against Boston...

Who cares? Maybe you don't hate losing in the playoffs or missing the playoffs altogether as much as I do.

Doesn't this reflect at least a little badly on ownershp, Holfresh? We've changed rosters, GMs, and Coaches but Dolan is the one constant.

+1000000000. The constant in all of the misery is an idiot named Jimmy. We may well be doomed until he is removed from the circle of shame that is our team.

How do we explain extending Isaiah bout not extending Donnie, UNREAL.

This includes the 3 straight we lost to the Raptors in 2001, the sweep by the Nyets in 2004, last year and this year.

Well, if you're going to be bad, you may as well be record-setting bad.

Bad ownership because we lose to the Heat, who are the best defensive team in the NBA...Let's say we beat Cleveland and play Indyand won a few games or even the series??..Good Ownership??

I want to play and lose to be Heat, I want a true measure of where we are as team and an organization...You won't learn that against Indy..U will learn who can help and who can't help..Fields is reconfirming he is useless in the playoffs...Novak useless...JR making dumb mistakes..BD is beyond done...we have to regroup and recast out supporting players..

Yes, but this didn’t have to happen in the first round, it could have happen later in the playoff as we get more experience as a group and grow as a team together, unfortunately, our players didn’t realized that games in the first half of the season count as much as the one in the second half.

I don't want them feeling good about themselves in the offseason...Amare has lots to prove next year..Melo has lots to prove ..I wish Lin was playing to have this bad taste of defeat as well...These guys have massive egos and pride..They are going to hear it all summer...We can see who won't help us after two games...We don't need two rounds for that..

No, that fictional scenario would indicate slightly less atrocious ownership. Your record doesn't reset every year. Dolan's record speaks for itself.

right, blame everything on Dolan. Anyone who was happy with the Amare signing should STFU. Anyone happy with pairing Amare with Melo should STFU because IF you agreed with those 2 moves then the only difference between you and Dolan is his deep pockets.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Novak isn't useless, he needs plays to be ran for him. His play reflects more on Woody than Novak.

At this point, I don't care about this. If they have to be swept again for management to trade many of our DUMB players and for whoever we get, knows that they have the task to stop such an infamous streak while actually WINNING a series.

I might have less hope in this team than I had last playoffs, and that team was less talented and less healthy.

I think it reflects Miami's defense.

I agree. We have the best 3 point shooter in the league and I see Melo taking on a double team with Novak wide open near the top of the key 3 pt line (a few times). Melo needs to involve his teamates more in the second half and Novak would be a great one to start with. Use the shot clock, we don't need Melo to go ISO so early. Yes, without him we would have lost bad, but you have to adjust as the game goes on.

I'm fed up of the media pushing this completely meaningless statistic- it was all started by a Heat press release.

For a start what the heck does this years team have to do with the 2001 team? or even last years team? It's a different team! It's nothing to do with them!
