I would start Fields again and start penetrating thier defense and being quite aware of the heat flops. If a heat player gets in your way knock his ass down and make him feel your charge. Hurt him! If you are going to be hit with a charge make sure he feels the charge. Melo must start Knocking down shots and making sure every one gets involved Make sure that you cut down on turnovers. Bibby will have to step up and play some big minuets

If a player is fronting you change the angle of entry pass, quickly. The Knicks need to move the ball faster. Melo has to be decisive. It would be nice to see a pick set to free up Melo.

If I were Knicks head coach I'd resign and name Phil Jackson my successor.

I would tell them to forget about the last game and try again.

I would also bring David Wilson (G-Men first round pick) to give a pre-game pep talk.

We just have to hit shots. Our offense is at its best wen Melo gets off quick and everyone else plays off him. There were a lot of problems in game 1. Biggest of all was his performance.

That is true. I would tell Melo to hit his shots.

I would tell JR not to cross over his dribble when he is being double teamed and trying to split the defenders. He turned it over like 4 times in the same way throughout that game.

I would also have Melo initiate the pick and roll and have Chandler be the 3rd man rolling to the basket from the top oif the key or the baseline for alley-oop.

I would also insist they keep lob passes to a minimum unless you are on the break or rolluing of a Pick and roll.

I would also say think before passing each and every time. No lazy passes!!!

I would then have everyone focus on taking charges in the paint on help defense.

Nope.

To avoid that,

I say that we should go to a spread offense,

set baseline picks for Novak,

feature JJeff (if he is healthy) being that he did so well during Linsanity.

I want Melo in the corner shooting 3's cause that's where he belongs,

I want no dribbling in the back court - the inbounds should be thrown directly into the front court,

I want no ISO's under any circumstances,

I want 90 pct PnR with Jeremy Lin running it (if not BD because he can do it just as well),

and ... I want Melo to rest his groin and only play 5 minutes a game so that we have a chance to win.

It would also be nice if Woody was given Nixluva's cell # so that he can make sure that he is not deviating from THE winning game plan and not be the usual idiot that he is just running ISO Joe offense. DUDE DOES NOT HAVE A SYSTEM!!

Oh ... and I would tell the players to save all this energy that they are wasting on defense for the offensive end so that we can running THE SETS.

I don't see how we can lose! It's simple ...

Players just need to relax. They should not exert themselves. Game 1 of the 1st round is no excuse to suddenly act like you're in Game 7 of the Semi-Conference. You risk injuring yourself and where you be after that? on the sideline.

If you're losing a game by 30 points, just take it easy. Come back in Game 2 and tie the series up.

I would do a study using a very large sample (large enough to avoid any statistical noise) of scientific data on the Knicks, the Heat (individually and collectively) and the games they have played. I would feed all of this data into a computer and produce a game plan from the output.

Calculating Game Plan. Please wait....

I'd get Isiah to come in and give the pep talk.

Then, when he left, tell the team unless they win, that fool will be back running things...

That's what the computer output was. It's a HAL9000 model, so it must be right.

If we need a pep-talk, we need to get this guy:
