Along with getting home turf...LeBron and Bosh were scratched for tonight's game...Wade dislocated his finger..Bron has to suit up to play, Spo going for the win...Announcers in the Chi/Dallas game saying Tibs only concern now is winning the division...With key players out for Chicago, he is desperately trying to win every game going into the playoffs...

Thats why I think miami can catch them. They have an easier schedule.

Miami just lost to washington. Chicago might beat Dallas with Rose back tonight. Our best bet is to finish 8th at this point. Philly won

Looks like philly might finish ahead of us - easy games. Not so for us the next two and as of now we are tied. Bring on Chicago!

Im really on the fence here. We've had too many "be careful what you wish for" before to want anybody specifically. Truth is, Bulls rebounding and bench worry me a lot, even with their health issues.. Miami's Trio worries anybody, though they don't have a bench.

But what worries me the most? Our play with Stoudemire. We need to start playing well with him and we only have 3 games to get ready. Today's game against Atlanta is excellent practice.

It makes no difference for us.
Sweep here, sweep there.
If we will win one game it will be a big luck.

I think Miami are just resting their players- though if I were them I'd rather be aiming for the no. 1 seed, so they have homecourt. I never believe in tanking to get a favourable playoff match up- it's a recipe for disaster. Didn't some team try that with us years ago when we were good and we ended up kicking them out of the playoffs?

Somehow I don't see a sweep happening. Of course it's possible, but I think the Knicks have enough talent to make any series highly competitive.

Getting STAT back is a plus. He actually got better as the game went along which is a good sign. I don't think the Knicks lost because of STAT coming back. There was so much wrong with that game in terms of intensity on D. The entire team took a night off.

Knicks will make a good/decent showing in NBA

But BULLs and HEAT got more loftier goals than worrying bout' our NY Knickerbockers
Knicks may be respectable but will not get by neither Miami or Chicago not this season.

I'll pray though over summer Mike Woodson is awarded offer (2yrs) to become Knicks new coach
officially 2012/2013

We've got no draft picks but we're having a bright future,
teams like Knicks, Pacers and even Sixers are rising

While the Magic's, Celtics and perhaps the Heat will fade a tad after this summer
You'll see!

if fields plays well like he did today and our defense returns to what it was when woodson first took over then it wont be an easy series for miami

Its a wrap. Miami losses clinch 2 seed. Chicago clinches 1 seed. Now knicks gotta bey out of 7th. Finish 6 or 8. Start Landry Fields against the Bobcats to secure the loss thursday

With that silky new jumper falling like H2O now? How does that now make a loss guaranteed?

Although on "paper", the bulls are the better matchup, I think it's more important for the Knicks to get everyone on the same page, healthy, and with some momentum going into the playoffs. Get Stat and Melo's rotations and minutes hammered out. Figure out the point guard time share. How to incorporate Gadzuric, if JJ is gimpy for the 1st round. Let's get the Knicks's mind and body right before the postseason first, then gameplan for the Bulls or Heat next.

The thing that is scary about the bulls is they consistently defend and rebound. They are like the 90s Knicks. May not win a title but effort will always keep them in the mix. Miami is not as consistent but you still have to avoid Miami cos if their top 3 are hot simultaneously the opponent doesn't stand a chance. Even though the rest of their roster sucks

I am just afraid about their rebounding. Hopefully Stat will/can help there. If we can hold the to a +8 in rebounding, I think they are very beatable.

Barkley had a good point about DRose being a complete wildcard at this point if we help them or hurt them in the playoffs.

Man, you guys are pathetic. Yeah, so Heat took us out 3-0 on regular season. I don't know how long you have known basketball, but my personal experience watching basketball for over 34 years tells me one fact: playoff games are not in sync with regular season final scores. Remember our team was second to be #8 seed taking out the #1 seed in 1999? That was a shortened season as well. I know if just starters vs starters, we will lose simply because we are injured (Amar'e and Jeremy both injured but Amar'e is healing well), and nobody else on the team can score like Melo atm. However, we got one of the strongest bench force in league, and let me tell you, we have a good chance demolishing the drama-queen Heat coming into playoff. We got not only bench players, but we got defense now, one of the league's best defensive teams on opponent's scoring. Can you even name a bench player on the Heat? Also, we're going into playoff hot like Kanye West into that I'm-not-a-pornstar Kardashian in bed. All team needs that going into the playoff, and unless you're talking about western conference, we're one of the hottest teams at end of regular season. I like getting another shot at Heat in first round and teach them what a team really is by sending them home to their retired folks home in Miami. Makes LeBron wonder if his mom should've slept with someone else and get him out of Miami to make another 'The Decision'.
