Interesting stuff. Most of MDA's offense had him in the corners, where he is much less effective than say top of the key

This is basically a more detailed illustration of what I posted about a week ago. If you look specifically at shots at the rim (rather than what looks like about 0 to 10 feet in your picture), the % goes up to the mid 60s. It's useful to separate shots at the rim from all other areas. Players tend to shoot in the 60s at the rim and then much lower from elsewhere. Contrary to what you might expect, they shoot no better from 3 to 9 feet than from out on the perimeter. It's worth driving to the basket only if you can get all the way to the rim.
