Yep this is an easy debate
The raw but talented Jeremy Lin 6-10 assists are vital to Ny lacking PG schemes. Knicks could easily be 1/2 games up in Win column or even 10 games >. 500

Now #1 Amare is a. Fully different story. Ny will be negatively impacted by Amare when he returns. This I see due to fact Amare has had no real identity under his pal MDA and don't have any identity under coach Woody. Examples. Team identity now is defensive oriented at times passing at times jump shooting at times and post scoring other times by Melo. Mr Amare even healthy need to find a niche. Ny is currently better without him being a 4 and only misses Lin penetrating n passing game to stabilize knicks offense. We know Melo true identity as well as Tyson, Shumpert and the 3sboyz Novacaine and J.R Smith

Baron Davis, and yes use his full name because bad players don't get nick names, should be flogged, tared, feathered and shot in to the SUN!!!!

I never knew this guy was this dumb, took this many risk and was this depended on his athletic abilities. I used to think that this guy was a top 3-5 point guard, top point guards shouldn't in any point in your career be this Dumb.

What does this have to do with team with the Amare back??? Everything and Nothing.......mostly nothing. When I see Melo catch the ball 17 feet away from the basket and face up on his man, you can't tell me that him looking at stat doesn't make it easier on him to find a player or drive on his man.

Wrong. Knicks really missed Amare in the Miami game. In the playoffs you need what Amare brings. Don't forget, he is actually a great player.

agreed. against miami or chicago, amar'e is needed.

knicks are better with Lin AND Amare. right before STAT got injured he was playing great — remember against the pacers and sixers? Knicks were lookin REALLY dangerous.

yeah and Baron Davis is just F'N AWFUL.

not only that but they were playing great at the end of the year last year. It took Amare a long time to get in basketball shape after the back injury but he was resembling the old Amare before he got hurt again and the Knicks were winning. Also do not under estimate Woodson's ability to make Amare fit. He's no Dantoni

Amare was all in before the latest injury. Rebounding, blocking shots and playing hard!

what ever the reason, he was playing as he did form most of last season.

Woodson had the spacing down and amare was a beat around the basket.

The are arguing in Chicago about Rose and if he should start.

ANytime a team does well without one of its "stars" the arguement holds.

No matter how many threads Briggs starts about this its really not for fans to decide.

Woodson states infatically Amare is the starter.

We'll have hindsight to see how his decision turns out.

Id say if Amare is going to get hurt, its gonna happen regardless.

Don't get all this misleading luv on Amare whom it took 2sec to critique MDA in 3yrs of Stout that Mda preache 0 Defense while also conforming to same lame Zip D' himself. Plus givin Nyk 1.5 yrs to give half season of mvp play then squat after that in his 3 nyk seasons. Furthermore if u gonna dump MDA on bad D then go n fully support your coach on his teaching system well it sounds very hippocritical to me! Furthermore play no D yourself until Woody was coach shows a bit of conflict in what kind of playa shoulda been in first place. Melo and Baron yes awful as year 1 knix only but gets more trash press than Amare or MDA ever got in their Nyk life a combined near 4yrs in Ny. Lin in year 1 still show identity to ball n pass N learn which neither mda or Amare could figure out to birth of woodson as coach n other yr#1 guys like Melo, Tyson or Lin became knix. Oh by the way as bad as Baron D been few of his hi assists games help few of Knix wins this year in nba playoff hunt. Count how many times either mda or amare won your/our team any ballgames in 3-4 yrs here in Ny it is end of discussion. By the way don't even start # of gms. Melo won for Ny its a fully different topic!

I actually think that before lin and amare went down the knicks as a whole looked dominant, Yes we had that one bad game against toronto but we also owned the pacers on back to back days. Thats why I find it funny how all the nba analysts are saying the heat will sweep us but if we were healthy i gurantee miami would not want to face us
