D-Wade plays playground hoops in NYC

Shortly after walking off the Madison Square Garden floor with a win on Sunday afternoon, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade stepped onto a court in a Manhattan playground for an impromptu shootaround with about a half-dozen kids.

A picture posted on his Twitter account shows Wade, dressed in a shirt, tie and wearing sneakers, shooting around at the Vesuvio Playground between Spring and Prince Streets.

Click here to see what Wade tweeted from his account (@DwyaneWade) in what he called the "Coolest moment of the day."

And that's saying something, considering Wade went to Yankee Stadium after the Knicks game and sat next to Jets QB Tim Tebow. Wade was booed at first, before flashing a Yankee cap to the crowd. Tebow was greeted with a loud mixture of boos and cheers.

BTW - Wade has a player option in 2014/15

In bizarro world, both he and Lebron would've signed as free agents in NY during the summer of 2010...PHUCK EM BOTH!!!

Lebron/Wade will be broken up. My guess is Wade goes since they are 12-1 without him

I think after playing against Shumpert, he just wanted to play against someone he could get by http://instagr.am/p/Jd1BiglCH_/

Perhaps the only player I dislike more any even Lebron is Dwade.

Dude is shallow.

Lebron is transparent but wade is shallow.

Someone should have tripped his ass and made him fall and break his gotdamn ankle.

To hell with the Heat. I heard Wade went to a Yankee game, too.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

First off lets be straight I respect his on court talent. Dude is a SUPERSTAR, or was one.

He is the ring leader of superfriends and I'll just never respect a man who put his miami superfriends ahead of living in the same town as his kids.

He had a highly publicized divorce and fought to ex to keep her in miami. She won and got to move to Chicago. Dwade and bosh hired a film crew to film a documentry about their "Decision". Wade made drama and got the bulls to jump thru hoops by pretending to be interested in bulls. They had cap room for him.

Im going off accouts I read about this.

He got emotional and talked about being with his kids.

Then, we never heard a peep about it. To me he created this drama. Lebron did his think and the back lash killed his little movie.

On top of that, the clip above making fun of Dirk. Stupid. The whole pep rally in Miami (not just him, but he was there......) and various tweets being an attention whore.
Its my personal preference.

IM sure someone gonna go on about his foundation and what a good guy he is.

He is not evil BTW, just a guy I don't really get.

I like D Wade- he's got that annoying air of arrogance about him, but he backs it up. Still, I think he'll start declining in the next season or two.

He was actually one of my favorite players when he was coming up as a rookie, as a "sidekick" of Shaq's, and peaked during that amazing 2006 playoff run to get his first ring. Then around 2008 during the summer Olympics, is when the "Project Douche" plan took effect with Lebron, and the turn to the dark side...

At the same time I think Lebron has done a good job this year taking the focus off him and just going about his business.

The greatest player need only let his play do his talking and not "preening" about an acomplishment.

Gotta give credit where its due.

shallow? where do you get this idea?

how does a player who has the willingness to publicly call for nba olympians to be paid -- as corporations, businesses, municipalities, and other sponsors make billions off of their free labor in the name of 'patriotism' -- seem shallow?

pro-sports are a business, not a fantasy world that only allows the owners and relating businesses to reap most of the profits, and be in the best circumstances for their respective families.

and a ring leader makes him sound like some kind of magician or hypnotist.

lebron and bosh didn't have to go to miami. they are adults. they made the choice.

as for cleveland sports fans. i hear their pain, and even the knicks fanbase, but he didn't promise ish to us. i don't like what we felt, and it was a mistake on their part to make it into such a show, but as fans we played right into their game. that's on us too.

cleveland fans also had a few years of top ball that many fans never get, and didn't do a good enough job of surrounding lebron with the pieces he felt would help him win...how we judge all athletes in the sports world/record books.

in any other job it's more than fine to switch jobs, location, etc. to improve your family's situation.

he didn't commit to being the saint of cleveland. maybe he didn't want to live there anymore, and experience something new.

there are plenty of people on earth like this who we are fine with, but lebron? other athletes who change teams. "sorry...this is sports and you NEVER switch sides!"

is that really what you'd tell your wife who wants to move to a new location? or your son/daughter who wants to live in a new city so they can expand their life experience, and horizons?

Them winning it all this year will be almost as bad for me as Bosox-2004.
