I heard that the original director of Nurse Jackie left his job because Anthony was forgetting his lines on purpose. If he gave this type of effort early on, Nurse Jackie would be a big hit.

I think the show's fate was sealed upon the rsalization that Kenny Powers is a camera hog. He only cares about his own success. There are other talented actors on the set, but Kenny refuses to get them involved.
