I think he wants his check directly deposited.

you don't see Zach Randolph crying about it. his addition to the bench makes for the most stabilized offensive dynamic between starters and the bench unit. He can be our closer at PF, unless the game dictates otherwise.

I would vote come off the bench only because his health is a concern.

I've yet to hear a real basketball reason that Amare, Melo and Tyson can't share the front court effectively. In my view, Amare off the bench is a quick fix copout.

If Woodson is the coach next year, sorting out the parts will be his largest and truest test.

I wanted him as sixth man since beginning of season. Ginobili had an all star career off the bench.

It makes sense on so many levels: keeping him fresh, keeping the starting line clutter free, packing a sledge hammer in the second unit.

I think it is a tough pill to swallow because of his big contract, but success legitimizes everything. We need.to know that dolan will back coach if he makes this move.

Eventually Stat should Start, but due to health reasons, and tampering with continuity, ease Stat back in by using him as 6th man. Stat and Melo played well together, until he went down in the Detroit game.

If he can come off the bench and lead the second unit the way he lead the first unit before Melo got here then I think it makes a lot of sense. Health wise I totally agree regardless of how good he can play. I doubt he can return to his former beasting but you never know.

I wish him the best, want to see him do well, and believe it makes a lot of sense to have him off the bench - I wouldn't lose any respect for him.

Absolutely. It's a win-win to my mind. I would gain even more respect because he will take this new role, embrace it, and drop the ILL NASTY BUCKETS!

I like Stat backing up the center and power forward positions to give offensive balance to the 2nd unit, in this way he can log less minutes & lower the risk of re-injury.

I said this before, I think Lin-Melo-Tyson should start with Shump and maybe Novak at SF.
STAT should play off the bench so our scoring doesn't die everytime Melo sits. Question is do we have a scone string PG that can get him the ball? Right now I don't see it.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Would you guys rather have Fields shoot threes or State?

I'd avoid the Brown chairs on Titanic at all costs!

remember when the Knicks were in a close game pre-Linsanity, and on the most crucial possession of the game, MDA drew up a play to get Amare an open three-point shot instead of Carmelo? good times.
