32 & 10 tonight..power player on the low block, mid range & 3 pt shot, double digit rebounder..plays tough D in the 4th quater.

He'll move back to the 3 when Amare comes back but there's no 4 in the NBA that's better.

Kevin Love would take issue with your stance. This coming from a huge Melo supporter.

I like him a lot at the four. I believe Woodson said Amare gets the 4 and Melo the 3 once Amare is healthy. I think JVG's plan of bringing Amare off the bench is a great idea.

I agree Love is a way better rebounder because of effort and better 3 point shooter but Melo is the better defender plus he can create of the dribble. Put them one on one and Melo lights Love up and hold him under his avg but then again the rebounding could put Melo into foul trouble.

It's close, but I give the nod to Love. Love is like the master of the 30pt-20reb game(had one against the Knicks last year), the modern day Moses Malone.

Melo is smoother at the 4...he's even making more plays for others now than when he was playing more of a "point" forward.

Thats because he lost his PG and Melo has BD/TD.

Not sure about the best but I love having him at the 4. The offense is spread out so much better and he's getting the ball much closer to the basket at the start of plays.

I would say that is a function of the previous coach being fired and not necessarily him playing the 4...I don't see where a player catches the ball have anything to do with what position u play or how the rest of the team spread the floor..

He can get the ball down low as an SF but he won't have enough room to operate. So it's a play that MDA went away from.

I think there is a small forward in Miami who also play the power forward position part time and is having a MVP season this year. I believe he should be ahead.
