I disagree. Melo has taken this team on his shoulders and it's really all him now.

No player has ever won a championship on his own...it's a team game at the end of the day. He will do his best to carry but he'll need others to setp up, just like every other championship team.

I agree although there are other people on the other side who sometimes accuse people of being haters and I dont like that as well. Every Knick Fan should be happy with the team right now

Agreed, all the way down.

Those who only focus on the negative and constantly trying to find reason to nitpick about this team while they're doing well aren't fans, they ARE haters. They don't matter, but let's not pretend they don't exist, either.

Anyways, the Knicks haven't done this well in many years, and it's something worthy of fans being happy about. Whoever isn't, well, to hell with 'em.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

No one should be anti Melo. He's a Knick and we should all want him to succeed. We brought Melo here to be a difference maker and give us an edge that title winning teams usually all have. His returning to form is right on time. I felt this team had a chance to be a deep playoff team if not a magic run for a title this year and still do, despite the roster issues. My disappointment with Melo's attitude this year is a separate issue altogether. I didn't like how he handled himself or the pressure earlier in the season. You should be able to criticize a player and yet still support him at the same time. It's the same with STAT and his horrid defensive effort for much of the year. This TEAM has a chance to be very successful. It's not about one player in the overall scheme of things. Everyone has to do their part. However, in particular Melo has to lead his team just as Durant, Rose, Kobe, Lebron etc. lead theirs. That's all we can ask of any player in that position.

I think the mix is looking good right now. Right players and coach. We have a clear identity and an all for one and one for all mentality. That's how you win IMO.

I don't understand why people diminish just getting to the first round of the playoffs.

You have to get to the first round in order to have an opportunity to advance. I think a team that makes the playoffs every year has a better chance of actually advancing and winning it all - but I will leave it to the site's statisticians to study that.

You bring up a good point. Here's a fair way to look at it. This is a brand new team..you have to separate it from last years team which was depleted against boston anyway. If this team the way it is currently constituted cannot get out of the 1st round of the players year after year than it will be torn apart. Until then let's see them get in the playoffs first then we'll see how far they can go and judge them overtime
