"He never asked me; I didn't have that knowledge," Smith said.

Van Gundy said Thursday he knew Howard, the Magic's franchise player, had asked that he be fired. Smith said both parties were to blame for the public dispute.

"If he did ask he's wrong, and for Stan to address it in public, that is wrong," Smith said.

So he WANTS to coach Howard? He WANTS to work with this management? Doesn't he want nothing to do with "b.s."? If Howard is b.s.'ing and Smith is b.s.'ing, why is SVG expressing his desire to want to work with them...but can't take b.s.? Why would he want to stay and work with the same guys that he aired out to the media suppoesedly exposing their b.s.? Or is he b.s'ing too? Is it just that he's just saying that in order to stay onboard and collect that $$$? If he "can't take b.s." he can always quit. Interesting that he wants to be there with a Dwight Howard led team and the management that he outed (or in Smith's words, lied on)? Interesting.

I must go with Magic Johnson, there is enough blame to go around.

Smith is telling the truth- Howard wants him fired too! He probably went to the owners, and they agreed to fire SVG and Otis Smith.

Howard could say put in the Orlando. There is no respectable coach that would want to coach a guy like him. The Magic's FO is skiddish.

Right now SVG is playing a game he can't win. DH needs to put on a couple days work and the stupid Magic fans will forgive everything in the past. That's how skilled he is. SVG has nowhere to goafter this. He should have walked. Instead he is going to embarass himself.
