Walsh Receives Permission From Knicks To Talk To Other Teams
Apr 06, 2012 3:30 PM EDT

Donnie Walsh has received permission from the Knicks to speak to other teams about potential jobs.

Walsh left his position as president and general manager of the Knicks last June and had been working as a consultant.

The Blazers are currently searching for a new general manager.

There has also been speculation that Walsh could return to the front office of the Pacers.

Coincidence that this comes out at the same time that Isiah gets fired? Isiah is practically back already, isn't he? Joy.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Great news! I have for many years hoped that Isiah would be able to return to complete the work he started here.

Can the knick fans sue MSG for punitive damages if Zeke is rehired?

I'm not going to get myself worked up over this again- don't see it happening, and even if it did, what exactly could he do? We're capped out for the next 3 or 4 seasons, our players are largely untradeable (either because their slaraies are too high or too low), due to the new cba we won't even have the MLE in a season or two- we have no flexibility for him to screw up. All he could do is draft stuff and bargain hunting.

hopefully the MSG shareholders would as the value of that stock has a lot to do with the value of the Knicks and Rangers

Papabear Says

The Knicks haven't won anything in 40 years and during that time I've seen some really bad teams. Worse years than when Isiah was here. And no I don't want him back but if he does come back it will take more than just one person to bring down this franchise. I see Zack Randolph doing very well(we gave him away for a bag of shells) and also some of the other players he brought here and on other teams are doing well. Dolan and Isiah are very close friends so he may come back in some capacity and if you dont like it you will just have to pick another to root for. As for me I am sticking with the knicks good or bad. I sure hope the good is coming.
