I know he has stepped his game up but wow, not this much..the only problem now is the rest of the team missing the shots that were going in before now..things never seem to match. Imagine if they begin to hit their shots again and Melo is destroying the opponent in the post. He'd be nigh unstoppable with all these shooters to pass to on the outside..C'mon Knicks, pull it all together tonight against Magic!

-It's a small sample
-Carmelo is probably better suited to the PF than SF position

unfortunately, the knicks lose when he puts up those numbers because the rest of team stands around when he has the ball.

He doesn't defend the PF as well as he does SF..He can post playing either position..

+1 needs to be more of a balance. We all know Melo can score, but we need to keep everyone else in the flow to win

Melo is having to do more because his other top scorers aren't on the floor with him. Simple logic.

Melo is dominating the ball too much..It's now swung the opposite to what MDA was doing...Others need to get enough touches to get comfortable scoring..With MDA Melo and STAT wasn't getting their touches...He has to figure out a balance even if STAT or Lin isn't there...His goal should be 15-20 shots 5/6 assist per...But I'm happy he is showing life...I think it was conditioning , he was blowing by Granger in the second half, you didn't see that 3 weeks ago

4th quarter last game was ugly. Melo needs to pass more out of the post when the defense collapse. With that said someone needed to step up other than Melo and no one did not shump, not baron or JR. Fields and Novak were on the bench virtually the entire quarter.

Keep in mind they had one bad quarter but they are 9-3 since ditching SSOL

Pass more? Melo has shown to pass the ball—but guys have to move around.

ur right 4th quarter consisted off melo forcing up shots on the quintuple team while others just stood around the perimeter and watched with their popcorn

You definitely didn’t see the last game, Melo was shooting even when triple team. He needs to avoid those.

agreed.

next year might be time to explore amar'e off the bench. the defense is crazy better with melo at the 4 and landry and shump in the SL.

He is now averaging 29.9 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.6 steals per game, about a block a game since Lin's and Amar'e absence..OMFG

small sample! and he sucks!

just kidding.

people have given me crap for saying this before - but melo is clearly the best player to wear a knicks uniform since patrick ewing. there's just not much argument.

small sample size... that's probably what joe dumars said to defend his picking darko over melo in the draft. "he only played one year at college. sure, he won it all, but lets see him do that five more times before i use the second pick on him."

melo has been an elite player for years. the idea that anyone needs to defend melo from posts like 'small sample size'... melo has averaged 29ppg for an entire season before.

to quote seinfeld: he's real and he's fabulous.
