my expectations of the rest of the season are low

Baron Davis still has a herniated disk. He can't really push himself for more than 30 minutes. 0 explosiveness. Questionable shot selection. 0 viable backups. 0 plans to get another PG according to the media/knicks brass.

Amare Stoudemire..same story as last season

Lin out unless we make it deep.

The only way this story ends pretty is if Melo, Chandler and company somehow move UP in the standings during the tough stretch of the schedule to avoid Miami or Chicago in round 1.

This story does not end pretty 90% of the time. Oh well.

At least we're not in last place with the largest team salary in the league.

I would take 6 pts, 2 asts, 1 stl, no turnovers from Toney right now. Pretty much anything positive.

We're not catching Boston they are on the way up and Philly on the way down. Unfortunately we will wind up with the 7th seed and face Miami. Better off finishing 8th and getting Chicago. And Milwaukee is on our tail with the easiest sched in the league

And I'm sure science has been looking for either thing.

Prediction:
Knicks 100 Pacers 75
Melo: 15 blocks, 10 points, 12 assists for one of the first Knick triple doubles in recent memory.
Jorts: fouls out with 47 points, immediately gets traded to Denver.
TD: carries BDavis on his back up and down the court for the entire second half.
Dolan stands at half court and plays a tear jerking riff about what the Taiwanese mean to him as a people and a possible revenue stream.
Walshie shows up and throws up all over Spike. Threads abound about the heinous racism behind the incident.

For some reason, these scary women may really be the reason Peyton left his place (nice forehead):

Back in line with the crappy game thread mode:

Some mild eye care after the above:

What I liked about the last game vs indiana, was that the way they played the 1st Q they clearly thought they were going to blow us out to avenge the previous game, and they failed miserably!

Not sure we'll win this one though. I really don't know about this team with all the injuries- I've doubted them nearly every game, but they've just about kept winning. They need to step it up though- if they play like they did vs the Cavs then we're just going to get blown out.

Pacers will be extra motivated to beat us tonight- it could get really ugly, but as ever I hope we win.

Pacers were extra motivated when we beat them in Indy. I want to go there tonight and prove that they're our bitch.

Knicks 92 - Indy 81

Melo scores 25, Shump drops 20, and Toney comes off the bench with a solid 12 point outing with a couple 3's.

Funny now Steven A. and Michael Kay's take is no longer Davis or Lin. Now its Nash or Lin next year since Davis who they were saying should start over Lin has looked awful

sadly if Davis has anything left in the tank, asking him to show it coming off a herniated disk with this crazy schedule wasn't fair.

with our luck, watch him blow up NEXT season..on someone else's team. the silver lining is if he continues playing mediocre we may be able to secure his services next year for the vet minimum.

As long as Baron wants to be here (and we want him here), it won't take more than the vet. minimum. Cleveland is still paying his 15 mil salary. Any contract we over is only subtracted from that.

Tools...from a business perspective...I don't know why the Knicks would let Lin go...so that pretty much guarantees they do. LOL!

Hope you're right. I don't know if we have the cap room to make it work but I would LOVE to see us make a run next year with everyone on the current roster HEALTHY (minus Bibby and + anyone useful in his place) over a normal training camp, 82 game schedule, etc.

I think there are mad FAs on the roster and we may not be able to afford Novakalypse anymore. He may go the way of Extra E.
