I want to take partial blame for jinxing Lin when I wrote "Lin out for 7 Weeks" and it came true. I must've been a voodoo priest in my past life. Anyhow, I think Lin will have a speedy recovery because he is young and he's super competitive so the minute his knee heals up, he'll ask to get right back on the court.

In the meantime, Knicks will have to continue to play Woodson's basketball and BD will have to realize he is now in Lin's position to will his team to triumph. Lin came and helped Knicks to 7 straight so it is now BD's turn to come in and help the streak going until the playoff.

BD is the weakest link right now because he can't log in any heavy minutes and his back-up is a washed up Bibby. You put those two together and the fat lady is already singing the blues in Panicville. I'm not too worried about it.

Even if BD can't contribute much, we still have Melo and Shump and Chandler. I believe in those guys. I believe they can keep this going and allow Lin his final hurrah for the season. The Knicks are operating on a strange frequency right now...

Nobody is going to predict Knicks upsetting Heat/Bulls but I will predict that's exactly what they're going to do.

I like your vision of the future. I must admit I would like it better without the injuries. However, if the Mavs can win a title then anything is possible.

I think Lin will be back prior to the end of the season, too.

I'm sure that he hopes to be back soon, too. Check him out in the post-op pic:

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I don't see a point in rushing a recovery. Rushing a recovery for a handful of meaningless games is stupid.

The Knicks should be cautious with Lin but in 6 weeks the games are not meaningless.

In 6 weeks Lin will have to come in and be playoffs savior on a shakey knee. It's possible but not worth the risk to his career.

I don't think the 6 weeks is a conservative prognosis. I think that is being safe. It's probably an arthroscopic surgery and likely not a very harsh repair for the body. Modern surgery is so much better than it used to be. It's entirely possible that he can be back before 6 full weeks. Remember that that is also including rehabilitation that might be necessary. They're saying he won't be available to play before 6 weeks, but he'll likely be cleared to workout well before that. It's all an unknown at this point, but it's possible.

It won't be 6 weeks. He's not going to be out that long. "LIN OUT FOR 6 WEEKS" is a nice scary headline to distract other teams but he'll be back sooner than not.

Like I said in another thread- 6 weeks is about right as CP3 had the same surgery a couple of seasons ago and was out 6 to 7 weeks. Wish he'd had the surgery a week ago!
