They say he's gonna have surgery.

Here goes our miracle luck, sounded too good to be true to be honnest.

That is some major news that explains a lot of the secrecy over the last week. Lin is essentially out for the season unless Knicks advance.

Shit, between Lin's knee and Amare's back we should probably just shut it down for the rest of the season. Even if we make the playoffs, the only way we make it out of the first round is if we win the division and play not-Chicago and not-Miami. Maybe we get lucky and win a lottery pick and we can come back strong next season.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

This isn't an injury that is common to wear as in running too much, tho being tired could effect any player in terms of injuring themselves.

What causes a meniscus tear?

A meniscus tear is usually caused by twisting or turning quickly, often with the foot planted while the knee is bent. These tears can occur when you lift something heavy or play sports.

http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/meniscus-tear-topic-overview

What happens with a meniscus tear (torn cartilage)?
The two most common causes of a meniscus tear are due to traumatic injury (often seen in athletes) and degenerative processes (seen in older patients who have more brittle cartilage). The most common mechanism of a traumatic meniscus tear occurs when the knee joint is bent and the knee is then twisted.

It is not uncommon for the meniscus tear to occur along with injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and the medial collateral ligament (MCL)-these three problems occurring together are known as the "unhappy triad," which is seen in sports such as football when the player is hit on the outside of the knee.

But why let facts get in the way of bias?

Knicks better go hard at Nash this offseason, before Miami signs him. Offer him interns, VIP section at Greenhouse, all you could eat at Delfrisco's whatever, because we gotta win now with this roster. Lin injured already with extended minutes not a good sign for his future.

This is really bad. This team was starting to click and then both amare and lin go down. Also chandler and melo are suffering through injuries. as much as i hate to miss the playoffs i'd rather come back stronger next year tahn risk it with these guys

What an up and down season. This is not good considering Melo, Chandler and Davis are fighting through injuries aswell.

Cant shut it down yet. We still hold the 8th spot so we need to keep pushing.
