Our injuries are ridiculous- we're beyond decimated and getting worse each game. It's really frustrating timing.

My point is, should we consider resting Melo, Tyson and BD for the two games next week? That would give them a week off to maybe recover from their groin and hamstring injuries- (is that even enough time?). That would mean we would be sacrificing those two games, which would be dangerous given the playoff picture. But, after that week, maybe Lin is back, and JJ too- the schedule is killer (back to back with the Bulls), but we at least might be near full strength and could make one final push.

I'm worried as the groin and hamstring injuries tend to linger and worsen without rest- even if we made the playoffs, without any rest, what hope would we have with a banged up Melo, Tyson and BD (and no Amar'e)? It would be a big risk that could badly backfire- would you take it?

Have we ever had a team this injured in recent history? Just to update our injury situation:

Amar'e- back, out indefinitely
Lin- mysterious knee ailment- I'm sure someone claimed it was jumpers knee on another forum, which would make sense
Tyson- wrist and groin
Melo- groin and other issues
BD- back and hamstring
Jeffries- sore knee, out another week at least
TD- useless
JJ- too raw
Jorts- out of shape, rusty from wrist injury
Bibby- useless, too old
Shump- tendonitis issues
Bill Walker- out after elbow surgery

Healthy players:
JR Smith
Fields
Novak

If I were a NBA player in NY my groin would probably be, um, "overworked" as well

The Knicks need to stop hiring interns, huh?

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

We have can't sacrifice anything at this point. Lins out 6 weeks, only way we get him back is if we make the playoffs.

every team has these nagging injuries right now.

the compressed schedule really screwed things up.

and it was the result of more greed.

if they had scheduled 60 games or 54 or 50, not as many players would be messed up. but it's about the same thing it always is - money.
