No. He is my favorite Knick of all time but I wouldn't want him back as he coach. I am worried it would become too much about him and less about the team and thats problem.

If we had a young stud center(Yao, Dwight Howard) hiring Patrick would be a no brainer. Not sure what he could bring to the table for our current group of Knicks.

The guy made it to 2 finals, he just ran into the best of his era in Jordan, Olajuwon, Duncan/Robinson. It wasn't for lack of effort or not pushing teammates. That's like saying Karl Malone, Stockton, Payton, Barkley didn't push their teammates either.

I think the more accurate statement would be that Ewing was criticized for his lack of communication. It was always said of him back then, that he wasn't vocal (except when he spoke up for Marc Jackson) enough and his relationship with the media was always tepid at best.

As for him being not being employed by the Knicks, I remember Walsh saying Pat never reached out to him. Pats response to that was, I shouldn't have to. I have a problem with that because it seems he suffers from a sense of entitlement.
