Not sure about that one. He wasn't a rah rah guy, but he brought it every single game he played for the Knicks. Leader by example, a true warrior.

I think the more accurate statement would be that Ewing was criticized for his lack of communication. It was always said of him back then, that he wasn't vocal (except when he spoke up for Marc Jackson) enough and his relationship with the media was always tepid at best.
As for him being not being employed by the Knicks, I remember Walsh saying Pat never reached out to him. Pats response to that was, I shouldn't have to. I have a problem with that because it seems he suffers from a sense of entitlement.
