go on to win the NBA championship..

other than happiness and tears, I mean. Would you then have no, none, at all, complaints about Melo? about the way D'Antoni was 'ran off' of the team? you think the Knicks organization would do everything in their power to bring almost everyone back again?

of course..i don't think there should be any debate that D'Antoni had to be gone right now..I can't believe that there are people still defending him at this point. Do people really see Knicks blowing the Magic out like they did if 'Antoni was still there? LMFAO who cares if it was just Melo that he was having a feud with. Melo is a part of the team and that would bring the whole team down, so that had to be sorted out. According to sources, it wasn't just Melo that had problems though..but I'm just beating a dead horse with this, back to the topic.

Now, this may be a question that deserves an obvious answer, but I was seriously wondering if certain individuals would FINALLY get over what happened between Melo and D'Antoni even if they won the championship with Woodson..

I just want my team to win so if that happens the way you describe it thats fine. I really like woodson any maybe tahts what this team needed but i think d'antoni has gotten way too much hate. I mean d'antoni has had a successful career elsewhere. When it comes to melo i am happy he is playing well now buts its hard to totally forgive him for dogging it before d'antony left because it may have cost us games that we could use right now

Its not about "Certain individuals getting over it".......

Thats their choice.

For many, this is not about love of Melo vs. MDA but about a dysfunctional franchise that habitually sells hype by hiring certain coaches, personalities (isiah) and brings in players that are more celebrity in their substance than add up to a winning environment.

Adulation of "YouTube Melo" demonstrated the heighten of expectations and thus media directs fans to excrete "Blame" on either Melo or the coach whose contract expires.

I for one cannot really say Woodson is doing a Great job or not as we don't really know the teams true character or potential. On paper it was great. MDA was trying to harness that great talent and I suspect it was his belief that if you can get it all flowing in his system they would be unbeatable. For all the reasons we have hashed over the bottom line was this was not to be. Woodson is doing a "better job" perhaps just from the standpoint of letting the natural flow of the team to take some sort of shape and let the players do what they do but play better defense.

The task of getting to that semi-elite status is not yet apparent if Woodson is the one.

But naturally a deep playoff run with an major upset would go a long way to establish his cred not just with the fans, but "certain individuals" and most important with the players!

Not being nasty. Don't like when people make up stuff and then just say it over and over. This is not the RNC.

Saying Carmelo dogged it or coasted or tanked it is just dumb.

Now Carmelo can be called many things. He is a big factor in the debacle that happened and deserved blame. But, write 10 lines in a post, show stats, compare things. Don't just throw out other peoples regurgitated buzz words. At least some of those people make arguments which people can then agree or disagree with.

Well i dont like people who criticize people for no good reason. I mean i have no problem with people disagreeing with my opinions. In fact I love getting into normal conversations with people who have a different opinion. But i think getting down on someone or trying to make fun of them doesn't make it enjoyable on the forums. Hopefully we can just have normal conversations

There would still be people saying Melo is not a winner and a cancer, despite winning at the college and nba level in this scenario. It's a shame.
