Only other person that deserves it is Jared Jack, but he's produced before as a rotation guy. Lin came out ofno where.

I think among all your choices, only Lin came from NBA Development League this season and became a starter... I really don't think anyone else should even be considered. If it doesn't go to him, I'm playing the racist card on Stern and gang.

I think I can safely say, without checking, that none of the other players mentioned were on the cover of Sports Illustrated twice, and none now have an entry in the dictionary.

I am a total homer on this vote, and have never seen those guys play.

But the fact is, without Lin, we are not in the play off race, plain and simple. I don't think you can dispute that at all.

Knick forum and its Lin!

Many of the others are deserving but as mentioned, Lin was a scrub last year.

I'd have to consider Novak high on any list.

A lot of deserving ballers, but Lin takes the cake and the cookies and the ice cream.

Any other year for those guys, any other year.

Hate to say it but I'm not really sure Lin qualifies in my book. He didn't really play last year, and as far as I'm concerned should be in the running for rookie of the year, not MIP.

I with Franco12, are you saying going from 0 to starter and a 7 game win streak does not qualify as an improvement?

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I don't believe that's in the spirit of the award.
I do believe it qualifies him as a rookie.

I do believe it qualifies him as a rookie.

Unlike Blake Griffin (who missed his entire Rookie season to injury), Lin actually played minutes for Golden State last year, thus disqualifies him as a "Rookie".
