Will he unleash the Lin/Melo PnR??? Man that seems to me to be a play that they need to run several more times a game cuz it's been VERY effective and it opens up the floor for the other role players. I just think it's a near perfect play to run with the roster as it stands minus STAT. Actually even when STAT is back but most definitely now.

Sure we can run ISO with Melo but to make sure to fully involve the entire team and force the defense to have to make tougher choices the Lin/Melo PnR could be a serious weapon. We've seen how teams want to take away Lin and Melo but they have to make some tough choices if they run Lin and Melo cuz that PG is gonna have a tough time dealing with Melo and the SF a tough time with Lin. Help is gonna have to come and when it does that opens up nice passing options. I just really think it's a play they haven't gone to enough this year, but it could be a goldmine!!!

It seems to me that they try to run that play, but for some reason the ball seldom goes to Melo. Have you noticed that? I don't know whose fault that is, or whether it's just a decoy.

Woody has ran it more than MDA ever does and that's over a short time. This is not a versus post just observation But with MDA you would see it in the 1st qtr but with Woody they will feature it at times and on different sides of the floor too. It's the only play where Melo jumper looks pure too. lol. I really want to see it with Novak on the floor since defenders do not leave him. I think it is the perfect play when Smith is on the floor too. I do not even mind if Lin keeps it the majority of the time because the lane is so huge and it draws the big away opening the lob or dump off to Chandler. One thing that also needs tp happen is for Melo to set better screens and I would also like to see Lin back up on the big when he hedge to create the switch like Rondo does with Peirce.

He could try it with Baron and see if it works. In the future tho i'd still like to see the Lin/Melo PnR more often. Run it until teams show they can stop it. You don't have to start every play with it, but you can mix it in more often during games. It's not just what it does for Lin and Melo, but what other players can feed off of it too.

You know what's even better than a Baron PNR with Melo is a Toney Douglas PNR with anybody!

Woody, when the camera is in the huddle, why do you sound so much more focused and clear (than the other guy) during timeouts?

The offense look so much more efficient tonight then at any point besides Linsanity. It's old news, but makes you wonder why MDA didn't utilize Melo on the block instead of running Tony Doodoo around the perimeter for 20 seconds of the shot clock in the beginning of the season. Probably could've saved us 10 losses or so...Oh well, thank God for real coaching!

The weird thing about LinSanity and Woody ball is that the team eeked out wins but now the team are blowing out teams yet people are not enjoying other teams barely getting over 85 points.
