LA Clippers.

Has his Nash(CP3), young Amare(Blake Griffin), young swingman Nick Young(Barbosa/JRich/Iso Joe), and athletic Big Center DeAndre Jordan(Not really MDA's cup of tea). All they're missing is a stretch 4. Maybe if they fire Del Negro, hire D'Antoni, he tries to lure Steve Novak next season. All these pieces would be a match made in 7SSOL heaven.

too bad for MDA Chris Paul is good friends with Melo. these guys talk, i don't think he'll give MDA a ringing endorsement. that said, i think he'd be a good fit in LAC. i'd like to see that. though they might not win it all.

Paul isn't an idiot; he knows MDA's track record in Phoenix. That should matter far more than what a less accomplished NBA player thinks.

This post is exactly what drives me nuts about you. What has Chris Paul accomplished that Melo hasn't?

He didn't do much in Phoenix.

And you're right. He's not an idiot. He's not going to blindly fantasize about his Suns days while ignoring how things went down in New York.

The Clippers would be a good fit for MDA. All this negative attitude towards the guy isn't warranted. He tried to make it work here and it didn't work. We see how Doug Collins is doing a great job with his Philly team. Good Coaches need for players to trust them and buy in. I think a fresh start would be good for MDA and CP3. There should be no doubt that they would make a good pair. MDA has never failed to get a lot out of talented PG's. If i'm Paul I want a little bit of that Nash MVP type coaching for myself. Why wouldn't he? If you're a PG and you have a coach that is guaranteed to make an offense that is tailored to the PG position, how could you not like that?

Same thing for Griffin. He can look at how STAT thrived for most of his career playing in MDA's system and why wouldn't he like that kind of treatment?

Mike D'antoni proved the following during his New York days:

If you don't give me a 2 time MVP, I can't help you lose in the Conference Finals.

So I can assume that you were on record saying that Nash was MVP caliber when He was playing for the Mavs? Can we search for your breakdown of why you felt Nash was destined to win 2 MVP's and why the Mavs who also felt he was MVP caliber let him walk? Or perhaps you could point us to the articles that were touting Nash as a MVP caliber player before he got with MDA?

Same lame azz jokes. Nothing wrong with the guy finding another job and trying to find success again. Do you think he won't be good with a team like the Clippers? If not why?

Yes. The clippers have had perennial bad coaching/management so I think that it fits like a glove.

But, I can tell you this ... There is alot of pressure on Stat, Melo and the rest of the knicks who played badly this year while MDA was here. Now that MDA is gone they need to put up and win (and continue winning).

If MDA fails with the clippers or wherever he goes, ouch!!!

Now I know you will be ready with all the excuses ... "its the clippers, sterling, Paul's a Diva, the wizards were bad before him too, the Blazers have so many injuries" - that won't fly no moRE!

It's Blake Griffin's fault, he does too many Kia commercials!

Yeah. Those rings MDA has should definitely mean a lot to Paul.

He is the perfect coach if Paul wants to win the MVP and underachieve as a team in the playoffs.

I think Chauncey and Chris are pretty close. I don't see Chauncey endorsing a D'Antoni hire. He was very excited about the Woodson hire before he was amnestied.

Great point Crush.

The only difference is that Paul would not stand for the bullsh1t that MDA gets all the credit for making Paul a great player as he did with Nash.

Nash made MDA look alot smarter than he was. Would have love to have seen Nash win a ring but the coach did not care enough about defense for them to ever win a ring.

Find me a team that won a ring that was that bad every year defensively.
